TENNIS PROGRAM<br />

Learn the proper grips, forehand, backhand, serving, game rules & court etiquette.<br />

Intermediate: knowledge of basic strokes/rules with focus on improving ground strokes and<br />

your serve. Advance: continue to enhance your techniques and strategies on the advanced<br />

tennis session. Bring two new can of tennis balls and a tennis racquet to class.<br />

JUDO<br />

This is an introductory (beginner’s) course mixed with intermediate students. Basic judo<br />

skills include throwing, groundwork (grappling), strangulation escapes and arm locks.<br />

Women and men participate in a co-educational setting with emphasis on learning judo for<br />

self-defense, tournament competition, physical fitness and fun. This course is recreational<br />

in nature and students can be any age from teenagers to senior citizens.<br />

Wear sweat pants & shirt or judo uniform to class. All are welcome to join!<br />

YOGA FOR A HEALTHY BACK<br />

Learn safe and effective stretching techniques based on the ancient art of yoga and designed for people with<br />

problem backs. Find out what your correct posture is and how to achieve it, how to breathe deeply to<br />

increase the flow of oxygen from blood to muscles, and how to take a firmer stance against back pain.<br />

Please bring a workout mat. All are welcome to join.<br />

HORSEBACK RIDING<br />

Introduction to Horseback riding: Learn grooming, tacking, mounting, dismounting, horse<br />

psychology, saddling, bridling, riding etiquette, equipment and basic balance at the various<br />

gates. Our instructors have taught hundreds of beginners to take that first trot! Class is held off<br />

campus at The <strong>Los</strong> <strong>Angeles</strong> Equestrian Center. 16 years+. Limited to only 6 students. Riders<br />

must weigh less than 195 pounds. No enrollment cancellations will be allowed. First meeting is a mandatory<br />

orientation. Must have TES approved riding boots – all attire to be approved by TES. Students are required to<br />

attend the Traditional Equitation School tack class prior to 1st ride at TES – Wednesdays 7-9 pm and<br />

Saturdays and Sundays 1-3 pm. Students can only enroll once; cannot repeat enrollment.<br />
