Everybody loves…delicious Italian food!<br />
Learn how to prepare step by step popular Italian dishes that you can make at home<br />
and impress your friends and family. This is a fun and casual class that is taught by<br />
native Italian Chef Giuseppe Mannara. In this class you will learn the dishes of<br />
Giuseppe’s Southern Italian hometown plus Informative travel tips and interesting<br />
cultural stories will be shared during the cooking demonstration and tasting.<br />

MEDITERRANEAN AUTHENTIC APPETIZERS & GARNISES<br />
Join cooking instructor Karine Arutyunyan as she demonstrates how to make healthy, simple and flavorful<br />
authentic Mediterranean appetizers - Babaganoush (barbecued eggplant dip); hommus (garbanzo bean dip)<br />
that does twice its job, working as tasty appetizers with toasted pocket bread or used with sliced vegetables<br />
as a delicious dip. Plus beet/walnut salad with its rich, creamy taste is a longtime favorite crowd pleaser,<br />
finally add a touch of garnishing for presentation. These inspirational appetizers will satisfy first time cooks<br />
& culinary experts. Students will taste/sample and take home these wonderful dishes from class.<br />

FRUIT & VEGETABLE CARVING<br />
Come and enjoy the fascinating art of decorative vegetable & fruit carving. Carving<br />
demonstrations will include: curve and singular wedge, straight and circular cuts, finer<br />
subject details and overall decorative presentation. Various ideas and creative ideas will<br />
also be discussed in class. These techniques will allow you to create dazzling center<br />
pieces for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Birthdays & special occasions.<br />
Material fee of $7 payable at time of registration. Should students want to participate<br />
in carving demonstration, please bring a paring knife, cutting board and towel.<br />

Bakery/Pastry chef Youlen Chan as he walks you thru the steps on how to skillfully master the fine details of<br />
intricate edible designing. You will be the hit of any social gathering; everyone will think you paid a bakery<br />
catering service. Topics: measuring and stenciling your ideas and designs before actual hands-on decorating.<br />
Learn the proper & clean way to work with cupcakes on wax paper. Color contrast and color combining on<br />
your designs Design anything from cartoons, scenery to detailed lettering.<br />
