level ready to be marketed as quickly as possible. Learn how not to ‘pain’ yourself into a corner. This is the
quickest, most direct method of writing/creating/selling a script you’ll find anywhere, and you don’t have to
buy software or a book.

C.P.R. CERTIFICATION | CARDIO-PULMONARY RESUSCITATION FOR THE
PROFESSIONAL RESCUER
This hands-on class will cover all the procedures needed when administering C.P.R. on
adults & infants. C.P.R. certification is now a must for caretakers, teachers, lifeguards,
rescue workers and hospital personnel. Limited to only 8 students. Students can obtain
C.P.R. handbook by going to: communityservices.lacitycollege.edu/materials.html
C.P.R. certification fee of $27 payable at time of registration.
This is an 8-hour class with a half-hour break.

medical terms. Also study the skeletal system. This class is for those interested in health-science related

Enlarge your vocabulary through the study of the major systems, along with the diseases and
disorders associated with those systems. Topics: muscular, circulatory, respiratory,
endocrinology, and gastrointestinal. This class is designed for those interested in the healthscience
occupations. Concurrent enrollment in Medical Terminology I & III is OK. Ages 14+.

and disorders of these systems. Topics include: genitourinary, nervous system, integumentary systems, eye,
ear, nose, and mouth (the senses). This class is designed for those interested in health science related
occupations. Concurrent enrollment in Medical Terminology. I & II is OK. Ages 14+.

ICD-9/CPT-4 CODING FOR MEDICAL INSURANCE
Learn to use the ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding systems required by insurance companies including HMOs,
commercial indemnity insurance, Medicare & Medi-Cal. Get knowledge of assigning diagnostic codes to
patients' conditions and procedural codes to physicians' services.
Cost of ICD-9 books $170 + $15 for material handouts are payable at time of registration.
Prerequisites and requirements are working knowledge of Medical Terminology I, II, and III. No class Aug 31.
