MUSICAL KEYBOARDING FOR CHILDREN<br />

Children will learn the correct fundamentals in<br />

playing the piano: Topics covered: Development in<br />

finger coordination, critical sense of listening;<br />

notations in pitch and rhythm; discipline in good<br />

practice habits with an appreciation of music<br />

through the piano as well as basic written theory.<br />

Solo-ensemble repertoire will also be introduced.<br />

Ages: 6 & up. Intermediate requires: Basic<br />

knowledge of music note reading. Intermediate<br />

students will choose sheet music comparable<br />

to their level. Limit is 12 students. Please bring<br />

your own keyboard to class.<br />

FOR YOUNG PEOPLE<br />

Watercolor and Paint the most beautiful<br />

pictures ever!!! Your teacher will get you started in<br />

basic watercolor and paint brush stroke techniques.<br />

You will develop your natural and<br />

hidden artistic talents of<br />

visualizing and expressing<br />

everyday objects as watercolor<br />

images. Students will be given<br />

total encouragement and support<br />

in developing their artistic skills<br />

at their own pace. Instructor<br />

works for Disneyland as an artist<br />

and has showcased his works at art galleries<br />

throughout the U.S.A. Please bring basic<br />

watercolor set, brushes, paper and pencil to 1 st<br />

DRAWING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE<br />

Learn how to draw like a pro, get drawing tips and<br />

techniques on the objects you like to draw (people,<br />

animals, nature, buildings, aircraft, etc.). Watch<br />

your images come to life as your teacher gets you<br />

started in using led/color pencil, charcoal, shading<br />

techniques, light/dark contrast, 3 dimension and<br />

brightness just the professionals. Students are<br />

encouraged to bring their ideas & imagination.<br />

Bring led & color pencils, eraser and sketchpad<br />

You can even invent your own<br />

cartoon characters! This class will<br />

teach you important steps & secret<br />

bring your cartoon to animation life.<br />

cartoon super-action hero artist or<br />

comic Villain artist, this class will greatly assist you.<br />

GYMNASTICS FOR KIDS<br />

This class is designed to teach basic gymnastic<br />

skills to children with little or no experience.<br />

Emphasis is on floor exercises and tumbling skills.<br />

Gymnastic skills increase motor coordination<br />

muscular strength, flexibility, and endurance.<br />

Students will also acquire awareness about body<br />

movement and physical fitness. Each class begins<br />

with a comprehensive warm-up routine with an<br />

emphasis on flexibility. Wear athletic clothing.<br />

SINGING FOR CHILDREN<br />

Enroll your child in this fun and popular singing<br />

program at L.A.C.C. Help your child to soar and<br />

expose their gift in singing. Students will learn<br />

proper vocal and breathing techniques to<br />

strengthen and bring out their full singing potential.<br />

Your child’s confidence and singing abilities will be<br />

enhanced tremendously. Each child will perform<br />

solo and with the class. Limit 10 students.<br />
