S.A.T & A.C.T. PREPARATION<br />

Help your child to get a higher test score!<br />

The SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) and<br />

ACT (American <strong>College</strong> Testing) is inevitable for all<br />

high school students planning to apply to a 4 year<br />

college/university. With careful preparation students<br />

will walk through SAT/ACT reasoning and inference<br />

practice analogies: grammar, science reasoning<br />

critical thinking, & higher mathematic applications.<br />

Students will also cover/study the new essaywriting<br />

portion of the GED test through practice<br />

preparation. In addition, participants will discover<br />

valuable test taking strategies/secrets about<br />

answering questions. Included will be a practice<br />

examination and an assessment. Bring these<br />

books to class: 1. Kaplan S.A.T. 2012: Strategies,<br />

Practice & Review. 2. McGraw-Hill’s ACT Practice<br />

Tests 3 rd edition by Steven W. Dulan May 25, 2010.<br />

grants, learn about Advanced<br />

Placement classes, learn the<br />

difference between SAT, ACT and the PSAT,<br />

prepare for the college of your choice as early as<br />

the seventh grade. Students are required to have<br />

internet access at home and a valid email address.<br />

You may spend countless hours playing video<br />

games but ever dreamed of creating your own<br />

game? If you’re ready to step up to the next level,<br />

join this class; you’re in for a load of fun. With<br />

Microsoft’s Kodu Game Lab you can let your<br />

creative mind explore the possibilities of creating<br />

your own game levels, adventures, and lots more –<br />

all without knowing a bit of complicated codes. If<br />

you can point and click a mouse, then you’re on<br />

your way to creating your very own video game.<br />

Ages 8-15. Optional: You may bring your Xbox<br />

controller to class - controller must be wired,<br />

KUNG FU FOR KIDS<br />

What do Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Let Li have in<br />

common? They all studied/practiced Kung Fu.<br />

Kung Fu is known as the father of Martial Arts.<br />

This is a class in Kung Fu San Soo. Learn<br />

Martial Arts Kung Fu fluid movements and counter<br />

defense strategies. No experience necessary.<br />

Included will be warming-up and stretching<br />

exercises, also basic Kung Fu positions to<br />

maximize your limits and potentials in the field of<br />

martial arts.<br />

computer keyboard which will pay off when they<br />

enter college and the business world. Students are<br />

encouraged to repeat if more practice or speedier<br />
