SILVERSMITHING
An introductory course on the creation of fine silver
and other precious metal jewelry. No prior jewelry
or metalwork experience required. Participants will
need to purchase some tools & supplies to work on
personal projects outside of the classroom. Material
fee of $70 payable in class. Held off-campus and
limited to 9 students. Open to all.

METAL CASTING
An introductory course in metal gravity casting
using cuttle bone, French sand, clay, centrifugal &
vacuum casting using the lost wax process (no
instruction on wax carving). Participants will need to
purchase some tools and supplies to work on
personal projects outside of the classroom. The lab
fee will be $70 payable in class does not include
precious metals. Any additional materials or tools at
student discretion. Class is held off-campus and
limited to 9 students.

MAKING GLASS BEADS
Create one-of-a-kind designs that are all yours!
You’ll heat glass to a molten state and fashion it
around rods to create beads/buttons for jewelry,
clothing, random wire votives, mosaics, stained
glass windows, and whatever else you can dream
up. All tools and materials are supplied for the class
to make at least five glass beads, including round,
flat, tabular and bi-conal. Gain working knowledge
of bead making and the ability to continue making
beads of your own at home. Material fee of $20
payable at first meeting. Limited to 8 students.
Class held off campus near L.A.C.C.
