encouraged to use correct English. Students<br />

should have access to email so that they can<br />

access class materials online.<br />

ACCENT REDUCTION<br />

This class is specifically designed to assist foreign<br />

born residents to improve English language clarity<br />

through easy accent reduction techniques. Develop<br />

the rhythm and proper speech sounds that will<br />

assist your career and in winning new friends.<br />

Never be afraid or ashamed again. Bring a tape<br />

recorder and a mirror. Material fee of $30<br />

payable at time of registration for booklets.<br />

CANDLE MAKING<br />

Candles are a beautiful addition to your home<br />

décor and make wonderful welcome gifts. This<br />

candle-making<br />

workshop will cover<br />

the basic<br />

techniques for<br />

making both<br />

molded and<br />

container candles.<br />

Each student will<br />

make and take<br />

home a colorful chunk candle, a floating candle and<br />

a novelty gel candle. Handouts with instructions,<br />

tips and techniques will be provided. Wear old<br />

clothes & closed-toe shoes. (no sandals please).<br />

Material fee of $15 payable at time of<br />

registration - covers all materials needed to<br />

complete projects. Please be on time, there will<br />

be no class make-up.<br />

Design a gorgeous purse using only yarn and soap;<br />

the end result will be a completely different item<br />

once the purse comes out the washing machine.<br />

Also, learn a variety of projects you can make using<br />

this technique; from belts, to purses to hats and<br />

much more. Check the website for a sample<br />

project. Be sure to pick up a supply list when<br />

you register. No supplies will be available in<br />

class. No class March 31.<br />
