VETERINARY ASSISTANT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM<br />
Love Animals? - Begin a New Career in 5-weeks!<br />
As a Veterinary Assistant you will help the Veterinarian or the<br />
Veterinarian Technician in their daily tasks. You will feed, water,<br />
and examine pets for signs of illness, disease, or injury; clean<br />
and disinfect cages and work areas, as well as sterilize surgical<br />
equipment in laboratories, animal hospitals and clinics. This<br />
program combines 35 hours of classroom instruction with a 24<br />
hour volunteer experience. The voluntary experience component<br />
requires students to volunteer their time. Each student will be<br />
responsible for coordinating his or her volunteer experience*.<br />
Fee: Class fee of $999 includes books, consumable<br />
supplies, and course completion certificate. A payment<br />
plan is available.<br />

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATE PROGRAM<br />
Become a Pharmacy Technician in Seven Months !!!<br />
Pharmacy Technicians are in high-demand, with job<br />
opportunities projected to grow 25 percent by 2016. The<br />
prescription drug industry is changing everyday. With<br />
those changes comes a need for a new wave of highly<br />
trained pharmacy technicians. Successful graduates of<br />
this program are prepared for careers in retail and<br />
hospital pharmacy settings. A Pharmacy Technician<br />
assists the pharmacist with mixing and packaging<br />
prescriptions, referring clients to the pharmacist for<br />
counseling, inventory control and purchasing, as well as<br />
collecting payment and coordinating billing. This course<br />
combines 182 hours of classroom instruction with 120<br />
hours of pharmacy externship to provide you with a<br />
complete learning experience*.<br />
FEE: Class fee of $2,895 covers books, supplies, externship, and course completion<br />
certificate. A payment plan is available.<br />
CERTIFICATION: Upon successful completion graduates will receive a certificate of<br />
completion and become eligible to apply for registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the<br />
State of California.<br />

*Pre-requisites: Minimum 18 years of age and high school completion or its equivalent. Students<br />
need competency in, or completion of a basic computer operations class. Students will be required<br />
to have access to the internet, printing capabilities and an email address. A Math and English preassessment<br />
test will be administered on the first class meeting to ensure student success.<br />
