INTRODUCTION TO FILM EDITING<br />

This class introduces students to the basics of film<br />

editing including organizing the workspace,<br />

architecture, workflow, settings, capturing,<br />

importing, editing, rendering, and exporting video<br />

projects viewable to multiple platforms, including<br />

web streaming. Using Final Cut Pro, students will<br />

master the fundamentals of the interface; add<br />

innovative cuts, transitions, compositing, zooming,<br />

and framing shots for the greatest visual impact.<br />

Special emphasis will be placed on introducing the<br />

principles of film editing that work for all editing<br />

software. Pre-requisite: Introduction to Mac OS<br />

X system, good knowledge of Apple keyboard<br />

and mouse, fluent in folder operations. Limit 6.<br />

This is a hands-on course where students learn the<br />

process of journalizing, posting, adjusting and<br />

closing a set of books for a makeshift<br />

business. Students will learn<br />

how to use the trial balance sheet.<br />

In addition, students will learn<br />

horizontal analysis, vertical analysis,<br />

trend analysis and how financial<br />

ratios are used tin accessing the company’s<br />

financial position. Students should bring a<br />

calculator to use when doing their analysis. Material<br />

course where students will use a computer to enter<br />
