8.5 Ergobus accessories for the Tensor ST
Productive tools with integrated process stability are
key to modern large-scale standard production. The
Power Focus Controller offers several software solutions
for zero-fault assembly. The Tensor ST accessory features
a bar code reader, an ST selector and an I/O module for
increased fl exibility and further support for zero-fault
assembly.

9. ETX nutrunner spindles
Compact, durable and easy to integrate
ETX nutrunners are designed for fi xturing and make life
easier for applications engineers. An ETX nutrunner
spindle can be installed in a variety of ways. For
example, as a “sandwich assembly” for rapid socket
insert holder replacement, or as a directly mounted
nutrunner spindle (“mounted assembly”). The compact
planetary gear permits a close arrangement of
nutrunner spindles, which makes very small bolt
spacings possible at very low cost.
Power Focus 3100 nutrunner control unit
Power Focus 3100 is an improved control system for
almost all electric assembly tools from Atlas Copco:
Tensor DS, S, ST and ETX. The controller offers a broad
spectrum of advanced process control, job, multi-stage,
barcode and scanning functions. In addition, it offers the
most modern communication including Ethernet TCP/IP,
serial RS232 bus and fi eld bus (Device Net, Profi Bus,
InterBus, ModBus Plus and more).

makes hand-held multiple-spindle nutrunners possible,
