Cubans played an operative role in the assassination, but he maintained that the Mafia

Author John H. Davis is another leading proponent of the “mob killed Kennedy”
theory. Davis advanced the theory that Florida Mafia chieftain Santos Trafficante, New
Orleans boss Carlos Marcello, and mob-controlled Teamsters Union president Jimmy
Hoffa conspired to kill the president. His 1993 book The Kennedy Contract contained
the allegations of Frank Ragano, who was a lawyer who represented Hoffa and
Trafficante. Ragano claimed that both clients made incriminating statements to him
