The GPS receiver tracks the NAVSTAR GPS constellation of satellites. The satellite signals received by an active antenna are tracked with 12 parallel channels of L1, C/A code then downconverted to an IF frequency and digitally processed to obtain a full navigation solution of position, velocity, time and heading.
