to a regional work place need<br />
for individuals who ar e<br />
trained in nursing, the ABSN<br />

This fast-paced, fulltime,<br />
24-month “Additional<br />
Bachelor’s Degree” is<br />
designed for students who<br />
hold a degree in a discipline<br />
outside of n ursing and who<br />
have not completed any LVN<br />
or RN cour sework. Upon<br />
completion of th e program,<br />
students will be awarded the<br />
degree of bachelor of science<br />
in nursing from California<br />
State University San Marcos.<br />
Completion of the deg ree<br />
program enables individuals<br />
to sit for the NCLEX e xamination<br />
for RN licensure.<br />

Diego Hospice cele brated a<br />
successful year for its fifth<br />
annual golf tournament at<br />
<strong>The</strong> Crosby at Rancho Santa<br />
Fe, with 120 golfer s playing<br />
during the patriotic-th emed,<br />
Sept. 11 fundraiser.<br />
Sports celebrities who<br />
played in the tournament<br />
included World Series champion<br />
and Major League<br />
Baseball All-Star Jamie<br />
Moyer, and NAPA National<br />
Hot Rod Association Funny<br />
Car Driver Ron Capps.<br />
Proceeds raised benefit<br />
the grief and loss support<br />
programs offered through<br />
<strong>The</strong> Center f or Grief Car e<br />
and Education at San Diego<br />
Hospice, including Camp<br />
Erin San Diego – an ann ual<br />
weekend summer camp open<br />
to children ages 6 to 17 w ho<br />
have been impacted b y a<br />
death. Camp Erin San Diego<br />
was established by <strong>The</strong><br />
Moyer Foundation, a nonprofit<br />
organization founded<br />
Jamie Moyer and his wife,<br />
Karen. <strong>The</strong> Foundation’s mission<br />
is to help children in distress.<br />
