Following the shorelines of both Valley and Wildwood Lakes, this 2.5 mile trail is open to hiking only. The scenic views available on this trail are breathtaking and wildlife viewing opportunities abound. Shoreline fishing opportunities are available in a number of locations. This trail passes through the Wildwood picnic area and is connected to the Heron Lake Beach, the Overlook Shelter, the Oak Flats Shelter and the Valley Lake Launch Ramp. Sunset Ridge Picnic Shelter Located next to the Holly Woods disc golf course, this shelter offers a number of recreational opportunities. The shelter features a horseshoe pit, volleyball net, swings, modern restrooms, electricity, water, picnic tables and a large grill. Horseshoes, volleyballs and disc golf discs can be borrowed from the park at no additional cost. This is a large shelter and is the best choice for large gatherings.
