Who is it for?<br />
A qualification <strong>in</strong> <strong>Advice</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Guidance</strong> can assist you <strong>in</strong> provid<strong>in</strong>g impartial<br />
<strong>and</strong> confidential services <strong>in</strong> advice, guidance <strong>and</strong> advocacy, which plays an<br />
essential role <strong>in</strong> encourag<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> enabl<strong>in</strong>g people to manage their own lives.<br />
The qualifications are relevant to those employed with<strong>in</strong>, for example, career<br />
guidance, the Connexions Service, children’s <strong>in</strong>formation services, youth work<br />
<strong>and</strong> youth justice, hous<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> IAG partnerships, thereby enhanc<strong>in</strong>g the<br />
quality of service delivered to clients.<br />
The level 4 qualification is aimed at fully developed <strong>and</strong> experienced<br />
practitioners who provide guidance <strong>and</strong> formal advocacy. <strong>Level</strong> 4 can take<br />
up to 18 months to complete.<br />

which 17 credits must from m<strong>and</strong>atory Group A. The rema<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g m<strong>in</strong>imum 20 credits<br />
from the optional units <strong>in</strong> Group B. A m<strong>in</strong>imum of 19 credits must be from <strong>Level</strong> 4 units.<br />
