B. Inventories sunnarized:<br />

1. Plunbing fixtures pertinent to bathrooms and hardware<br />

itens, such as door knobs and latches, are critical or<br />

completely out; some itens are being brought in by air<br />

at supplioi% expense.<br />

2. Roofing and paints are short in supply; some paints are<br />

out, others will bo out in four weeks.<br />

3. Some suppliers report Douglas fir and redwood lunber in<br />

critical supply.<br />

A. Doors for new construction housing not available by most<br />

suppliers.<br />

5. Electrical conduit in short supply.<br />

6. The consensus of the majority of the suppliers is that<br />

critical shortages will develop in most construction and<br />

hardware materials in another four weeks.<br />

7. Parts for machinery and mobile equipcient arc flown in when<br />

required, with 50 percent of the cost absorbed by the supplier.
