Using Model Menu<br />

The model menu window can be used for opening documents for<br />

editing, along with the “O: Open Model” command. It comes up on<br />

starting the application and docks by the left border of the application<br />

window. It also can stay floating. The user can control visibility of the<br />

model menu window via the textual menu item “Customize|Tool<br />

Windows|Model Menu” or in the context menu on right mouse button<br />

click over any toolbar.<br />

The model menu shows the content of the open libraries. It allows to<br />

select libraries, open documents for editing and insert documents into<br />

the current one as fragments or pictures.<br />

The model menu window may have a preview pane at its bottom or<br />

right-hand side. This pane will display the preview image or the<br />

properties of the selected document.<br />

The model menu window can have various different settings accessible<br />

Rulers<br />

The rulers display X and Y coordinates of the current drawing window. Ruler<br />

properties can be set with the help of the context menu (see the figure on the right).<br />

Ruler visibility can be set via the textual menu “Customize|Tool<br />

Windows|Rulers” or the context menu coming up on clicking over any toolbar.<br />

Rulers can be used for navigating around the drawing. In the mode when there is the button in the corner<br />

between the vertical and horizontal rulers, the horizontal ruler can be dragged by pressing and holding<br />

moving the cursor right and left. The drawing image moves together with the ruler and cursor.<br />

Release to fix the image in the current location. Similarly, the drawing can be moved up and down by<br />

dragging the vertical ruler.<br />

Pressing the button at the horizontal and vertical rulers crossing with switches to<br />

another button mark. In this mode, the rulers can be used for zooming the drawing in<br />

To zoom the drawing in, point the cursor at the horizontal or vertical ruler, press and hold , and drag right<br />

Property Window<br />

The property window is used for setting and modifying various parameters. One way to use it is in the<br />

command-waiting mode for quick editing of the selected element properties. The other way is using it within<br />

various <strong>2D</strong> and 3D commands for setting various parameters of the elements being created or edited.
