Opening Document<br />

A T-<strong>FLEX</strong> <strong>CAD</strong> document can be opened using the command “O: Open Model”. Call the command<br />

using:<br />

The new window “Open” will appear on the screen.<br />

This is the standard Windows dialog box for opening application files, except for some additional elements.<br />

A box in the top-left corner of the dialog window is provided for selecting the storage source of the<br />

document.<br />

This can be either the standard Windows folder tree (“Folders”), or the T-<strong>FLEX</strong> <strong>CAD</strong> libraries pool<br />

(“Libraries”).<br />

The “Files of type” box at the bottom of the dialog helps filtering the files<br />

of the desired type. This can be a <strong>2D</strong> drawing file (“T-<strong>FLEX</strong> Drawings”),<br />

a 3D model (“T-<strong>FLEX</strong> 3D Models”) or any T-<strong>FLEX</strong> <strong>CAD</strong> document<br />

(“T-<strong>FLEX</strong> Model File”). Once a particular type is selected, files of this<br />

type only will be listed in the dialog.<br />

There are two panes at the right-hand side of the dialog for previewing the document content and the<br />

document properties. A button is provided in the top-right corner for showing/hiding the preview panes.<br />

The preview image, displayed in the “document content” preview pane, uses by default a vector graphics<br />

representation or a bitmap thumbnail stored with the document. If no preview data is available in the<br />

document, a message is displayed instead, “Click to Preview”. In this case, the actual document content will<br />

be displayed upon pointing the cursor at the preview pane and clicking .<br />

To force automatic preview generation for documents without preview data, press button. The same can<br />

be done by pointing cursor at the preview pane and calling the context menu by right-clicking . In the
