The “Main Data” tab contains standard entries of the BOM table:
Group: the BOM group name is selected from the list whose set of values is stored in the file “BOM
Groups.mdb”.
If “” option was selected, the record will not be entered in any of the existing BOM groups.
Such records are always placed in the beginning of the BOM before the header of the first group.
Composition of BOM groups can be edited by the command “BG: Edit BOM Groups”.
Part Description.
Part Number, or name.
Material.
Weight.
Price.
Remarks.
Format. With the flag “Auto” set, the value of this parameter is defined automatically. In this case, keep
in mind the special way of handing multipage documents. Automatic formatting will be based on the
format of the page that hosts the fixing vector of the assembled fragment data. In the case of using a 3-D
fragment, the format of the first document page only is defined automatically. Therefore, definitions of a
multipage document are done manually.
Zone. With the flag “Auto” set, the value of this parameter is defined automatically. Automatic zone
definition requires the flag “Detect Zones for Bills of Materials” be set for the assembly drawing in
the command “ST: Set Model Status”, accessed by the graphic button [Zones] on the tab
“General” (refer to the chapter “Customizing Drawing” for the description of setting up zones). In this
case, the zones are defined either by the fragment position or by the position of the leader denoting the
fragment position. Either mode can be set among BOM properties on the “BOM” tab.
CAGE Code. The code required by the drafting standard.
Quantity.
When using arrays of fragments, the entry “Quantity” can be controlled by an introduced external
variable representing the assembly variable defining the number of elements in the array.
The parameter “Never include in Bills of Materials” is required for fragments used for detailing, such as
title block, tables, leader notes, etc. With the flag checked, the current fragment will not be included in
the assembly BOM table.
The tab “Custom Data” contains the list of additional BOM table entries and allows defining arbitrary data
for the BOM. By default, the list contains the names of data entries for group BOM documents and, possibly,
other standard forms, depending on the T-FLEX CAD application localization. The list is stored in the file
BOM Custom Data.txt, in the Program folder. This list entries may not be deleted.
