Keyboard Textual Menu Icon
“Row|Duplicate” None
Databases
Creates a new row, duplicating the contents of the current row in the new row.
Besides the described commands, the key is used for managing rows as well. It acts as follows: if
the current row is the last one, then upon pressing the key, a new empty row is created below the current
row, becoming the active one. When the current row is any but the last one, then pressing this key is identical
to pressing the button .
The group “Column” contains the following commands:
Insert. This command allows creating new columns. The insertion is done either before the current column
or after it, depending on the selected submenu item. You can insert new columns by using the key
combinations on the keyboard: Insert Before - Ctrl+Shift+I, Insert After - Ctrl+Shift+A.
Clear. Empties the contents of all records in the current column.
Hide. Sets zero width of the column. When using the tab key to navigate through the columns, such columns
are skipped. The width of the columns can be adjusted by dragging the division lines between the name
entries in the first row of the editor. Point the mouse to the right division line of the cell and vary the width
freely. Moving the pointer beyond the left divider of the column sets the zero column width. If there are no
hidden columns, then it doesn't matter on which side of the division line you point the mouse. If there are
hidden columns by the selected line, then you need to point the mouse on the left of the line to widen the
column. Pointing the mouse on the right side of the line makes the pointer appear as a horizontal two-sided
arrow with two vertical lines. This indicates that the size of the hidden column will be modified. Doubleclicking
the right hand side line of the column aligns the column width with the length of the contents of
the longest record in this column.
Show All. Restores visibility of all hidden columns.
Delete. Deletes the current column.
Move Left. This command swaps the current column with the one on the left. If the current column is the
first one, then it becomes the last.
Move Right. This command swaps the current column and the one on the right. If the current column is the
last one, it becomes the first.
Sort. Allows sorting records by a certain rule, depending on the contents of the current column.
Properties. Allows editing the column parameters. When changing the column type, some information can
be lost. The user is prompted about it with an appropriate message.
The group “View” contains the following commands:
Toolbar. Toggles the display of the icon menu .
Font. Allows setting the font type of the database editor and its parameters.
Colors. Allow setting the font color, the background color and the grid line color of the database editor.
Help. Selecting this menu item provides help on the current command.
