580 Summary As <strong>Medicaid</strong> agencies continue to enroll older persons and persons with disabilities into managed care they will need to accommodate the special needs of these populations. States will need to examine and perhaps modify the means they use to: assure access, enroll beneficiaries, require plans to do care coordination, and assure quality. States will also need to consider the best means to deliver the long term care services that many members of these populations need and coordinate with the Medicare program that also serves many members of these populations.
