EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING WEDNESDAY, MAY 9, 2007 @ 3:30 Members present: Vice Chairman Doug Farster called Executive Committee to order at 3:30 PM in the courthouse 3rd floor conference room. Members Present: I Mercer, N Tucker, Chuck Stoddard; Absent Chairman 1. Seeberg. Also present: Nancy Nelson, Marty Meyer, John Varga, Denise McCaffrey, Kim Becker, Andrew Bollman, Rick Ketchum, Kevin Lalley, and Melinda Osborne (SVN) Coroner's Claims presented were $1,920.97. One inquest and four inquiries as of Mar. 1 st. Motion to approve Mercer, sec. Farster; carried. Sheriff's Claims presented were $39,564.30. Motion to approve by Tucker, sec. Stoddard; carried. Chief Varga stated the department has hired Brandi Stern and Joseph Rumby. Inmate level continues at near capacity with meal and medical expenses staying at high levels. ESDA Claim: $185.05 Probation Claims presented were: County Funds Probation Services Fee Fund Dependent Children's Fund Probation Innovative Services Grant Access to Council Juvenile Justice Council Drug Court Fund (new line item this yr) none $ 2,285.37 $ 6,700.00 $ 6,077.81 none none $ 455.40 Motion by Mercer, sec by Tucker to approve the claims. Approved. Kim reported that the department has received a new Chevy Impala to replace twenty year old van. The purchase was in their department budget. Circuit Clerk's Claims were presented: Circuit Clerk $713.30 Jury $ Court Document Storage $3,139.83 Automation $1,832.27 Child Support Enforcement $ 967.60 Motion to approve by Tucker, sec Stoddard; carried. Department will hire 3 or 4 part time summer help and goal is to have all Court documents scanned and in electronic system. States Attorney Claims & Report: $3,923.71 ASA Bollman asked for any questions. Motion Mercer, sec by Tucker; approved. Public Defenders Claims & report; none Insurance & Bonds: $204.63. Motion Stoddard, sec. Tucker, approved County Board Claims: $260.00. Motion by Mercer, sec. Tucker; carried.
