Alford Five Sailed Windmill<br />
The only one of three windmills left standing in Alford this<br />
five sailed mill dates back to 1837. It stands over 30ft tall<br />
and has six different floors.<br />
Although the mill finished working in 1955 it has been fully<br />
restored and can now be seen <strong>by</strong> visitors working on a<br />
regular basis. The traditionally milled flour is available to<br />
buy on site.<br />

Alford Manor House<br />
Alford Manor House is reputedly the largest thatched manor<br />
house in the country.<br />
Surrounded <strong>by</strong> beautiful gardens and close to <strong>Lincolnshire</strong><br />
coast this is a lovely place to visit.<br />
The house offers examples of rooms from 1611 through to<br />
Georgian and Victorian times. Built in a rare H shape and with<br />
walls made from reed and plaster surrounded <strong>by</strong> brick this<br />
ancient house is full of hidden treasures.<br />
