Baud Rate 12 NF BC Configuration Command Reference Purpose: Sets the baud rate for the selected communications port on the reader. The baud rate must match the baud rate of the device (for example, the host computer) that the reader is communicating with. For Polling Mode D protocol, you must set the baud rate to 1200 or higher. For Multi-Drop protocol, you must set the baud rate to 2400 or higher. Default: 9600 baud Note: You must select the communications port and protocol before you set the parameters to define that protocol. For help, see “Communications Protocol, Configure” later in this chapter.
