General specifications<br />
Softwood stiles, rails and double lockblock on hollow core<br />
specification which are kiln dried for interior use. Hollow core of<br />
expanded multi cell paper. FD30 fire door core of solid chipboard<br />
and double top and bottom rails.<br />
FD60 doors have solid chipboard core but no top or bottom rails.<br />
lipping 6mm<br />
Complimentary hardwood species bonded with moisture<br />
resisitent hot melt adhesive to solid stiles.<br />
lacquer finish<br />
The doors are fully lacquered with satin finish to both faces and<br />
edges using 2 coats of UV clear acrylic. The finish provides a<br />
smooth surface to the door allowing the natural beauty of the<br />
veneer to be seen.<br />
Performance<br />
FD30 and FD60 Viscount <strong>Doors</strong> are ‘severe duty’ rated to DD171<br />
which means they are suitable in areas of high frequency use.<br />
acoustic properties<br />
FD30 and FD60 Viscount <strong>Doors</strong> meet and exceed the<br />
requirements of Building Regulations approved document E, they<br />
are designed to meet demands for improved acoustic insulation<br />
and to combat the problems of noise pollution from neighbours.<br />
natural veneers<br />
Veneers are natural material therefore colour/grain variations<br />
are unfortunately unavoidable. All Viscount veneered doors<br />
are generally supplied from stock and as such have been<br />
manufactured in high volume production runs and not against<br />
a specific order. The veneers used are of standard commercial<br />
quality ‘A’ grade, log run and centre book matched.<br />
Please note: Veneers, hardwood mouldings and glazing beads<br />
are natural products and some variation in colour and grain is<br />
unavoidable.
