Purpose

Details:
• Students would arrive in Grenoble in May
to start an internship at a French
company.
• Term starts in September. Exams will be
held in December.

Financial:
• Students will receive a $2800 tuition bursary.
• Students are guaranteed employment at French
industry or research lab for 4 months, earning
1000 Euro/month.
• Tuition is paid to McMaster (full tuition).
• Students will continue to be registered as fulltime
students at McMaster during the exchange.

Specialized Courses:
• The following courses are somewhat more advanced and
unique.
– Materials Science For nuclear Engineering: 12 Units.
A group of specialized courses designed for students with interest in a
career in the nuclear industry.
– Materials Science Issues and Politics: 2 Units.
Another New and Unique course.
– Numerical Methods: 4 Units.

Management and Society
Students
• Management and Society students will do an internship
during the summer between 3 rd and 4 th year.
• Students will do the fall term of 4 th year in France.
• Management students can write a report on their
industrial internship and this will count as ENG MGT
4A01.
• Management students may take commerce courses in
France, if their French is good.

Procedure
• Number of spaces available, 4 to 6.
• Application Deadline: Nov. 1, 2009
• To apply please provide:
– Resume.
– Cover letter which includes a time table for your courses this
year and next year.
• Notification of acceptance: Nov. 15, 2009
– Once you are accepted, we’ll go over the courses you’ll be
taking in France.
– Apply for residence, health insurance and visa.
