elevation of 90 degrees). If the lead<strong>in</strong>g edge reaches an angle of only 45 degrees above the western<br />

horizon (see Figure 5-5), the Sky Cover Evaluation table shows the sky cover to be only 1/8.<br />

Next, the layer from the west reaches a po<strong>in</strong>t 45 degrees above the eastern horizon (see Figure 5-6).<br />

From the Sky Cover Evaluation table, sky cover is determ<strong>in</strong>ed to be 7/8 (i.e., an angle of 135 degrees<br />

above the western horizon).<br />
