on <strong>the</strong> Grade Release Date.<br />
Can I have my <strong>exam</strong> re-graded? NO. Please see SCR 70.<br />
If I <strong>fail</strong>ed <strong>the</strong> <strong>exam</strong>, can I appeal <strong>the</strong> decision? NO. Please see SCR 70.<br />
Can I have my MBE hand sc<strong>or</strong>ed? Yes. Send your request to our office with a check in <strong>the</strong> amount of<br />
$10.00 made payable to “NCBE”.<br />
Can I have my MBE sc<strong>or</strong>e? Only through written request/not over <strong>the</strong> phone – We only give out your<br />
scaled sc<strong>or</strong>e.<br />
Can I have my MBE transferred to ano<strong>the</strong>r jurisdiction? YES. You must submit a written request to<br />
our office and <strong>the</strong>re is a $12.50 fee.<br />
Can I obtain a copy of <strong>the</strong> essay p<strong>or</strong>tion of <strong>the</strong> <strong>exam</strong>ination? Only f<strong>or</strong> those applicants who <strong>fail</strong>ed <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>exam</strong>. You must submit a written request to our office and <strong>the</strong>re is a $35.00 fee. Please allow 4-6 weeks<br />
f<strong>or</strong> delivery.<br />
Can I obtain copies of past <strong>Bar</strong> Exam questions? YES. You must submit a written request to our<br />
office and <strong>the</strong> 5 year package of essay questions are $25.00. The essay questions are $5.00 per <strong>bar</strong> <strong>exam</strong><br />
requested, if you would like to <strong>or</strong>der individual <strong>exam</strong>s.<br />
Can I obtain my sc<strong>or</strong>es? Your sc<strong>or</strong>es and <strong>the</strong> f<strong>or</strong>mula will be sent to you only if you <strong>fail</strong>ed <strong>the</strong> <strong>exam</strong>.<br />
Those who <strong>pass</strong>ed <strong>the</strong> <strong>exam</strong> will not receive <strong>the</strong>ir essay sc<strong>or</strong>es but will receive <strong>the</strong>ir MBE scaled sc<strong>or</strong>e.<br />
What do I have to do if I apply f<strong>or</strong> <strong>the</strong> next available <strong>exam</strong>? You must start <strong>the</strong> entire process over<br />
again. You do not need to re-submit law school transcripts <strong>or</strong> letters of reference if our office currently<br />
has <strong>the</strong>m on file.<br />
When and where are <strong>the</strong> swearing-in ceremonies? The time and place varies depending on <strong>the</strong> Exam<br />
date (whe<strong>the</strong>r it is February <strong>or</strong> July). Five weeks pri<strong>or</strong> to <strong>the</strong> <strong>exam</strong> you will receive notice in <strong>the</strong> mail.<br />
How do I get sw<strong>or</strong>n-in if I cannot attend <strong>the</strong> admissions ceremonies? The Supreme Court of <strong>Nevada</strong><br />
will send you an Oath of Att<strong>or</strong>ney sh<strong>or</strong>tly after <strong>the</strong> grades are announced. Once you receive this Oath,<br />
you may be sw<strong>or</strong>n-in by any judge <strong>or</strong> any notary in any jurisdiction. If you have met all <strong>the</strong> requirements<br />
and do not want to wait f<strong>or</strong> <strong>the</strong> Oath from <strong>the</strong> Court, <strong>the</strong> Oath of Att<strong>or</strong>ney may be found on our website,<br />
www.nv<strong>bar</strong>.<strong>or</strong>g <strong>or</strong> in your rulebook under SCR 73.<br />
May I attend <strong>the</strong> swearing-in ceremony if I have <strong>pass</strong>ed <strong>the</strong> <strong>bar</strong>, but have not met all <strong>the</strong><br />
requirements? NO. Your admission will be delayed if you have not met all of <strong>the</strong> administrative<br />
requirements <strong>or</strong> if you are on a character and fitness hold. Contact <strong>the</strong> Admissions department f<strong>or</strong> details<br />
regarding your status. You may attend <strong>the</strong> ceremony as an observer, not a participant if you wish to do<br />
so.
If my application was on HOLD status f<strong>or</strong> <strong>the</strong> MPRE, how do I get sw<strong>or</strong>n-in after I have completed<br />
<strong>the</strong> MPRE with a <strong>pass</strong>ing sc<strong>or</strong>e? The Admissions Department will place your name on a petition which<br />
will <strong>the</strong>n be sent to <strong>the</strong> Supreme Court. The Supreme Court will send <strong>the</strong> Oath of Att<strong>or</strong>ney to you in <strong>the</strong><br />
mail. Once you have received <strong>the</strong> Oath, you may take it to any Judge <strong>or</strong> Notary in any jurisdiction and<br />
get sw<strong>or</strong>n in. Please make sure it is signed and notarized. You will <strong>the</strong>n place it back in <strong>the</strong> mail to <strong>the</strong><br />
Supreme Court. This process may take a few weeks to complete. If you would like to check on <strong>the</strong> status<br />
of <strong>the</strong> Oath, please contact <strong>the</strong> Supreme Court Clerk’s office in Carson City (775-684-1600).<br />
Are <strong>the</strong>re programs I must complete after I am sw<strong>or</strong>n in? Yes. The Supreme Court of <strong>Nevada</strong> has<br />
introduced <strong>the</strong> Transitioning into Practice (TIP) ment<strong>or</strong>ing program. This program is mandat<strong>or</strong>y f<strong>or</strong> all<br />
