<strong>Sample</strong> <strong>DROP</strong>-<strong>OFF</strong> <strong>PROCEDURE</strong>:<br />

RNA:<br />

1. RNA should be provided in strip tubes. We will also accept Eppendrop 1.5 ml tubes if<br />

the samples number is less than 8.<br />

2. Label all tubes of RNA with initials, date, and unique identifier (numbers 1-n is<br />

strongly recommended):<br />

3. Fill out the following tag (available on rack outside Genome Core):<br />

4. Place RNA in plastic bag (available on rack outside Genome Core) with tag. Place RNA<br />

in Drop-off box located on top shelf of -80°C freezer in room S184.<br />

5. Notify someone in Genome Core about your submission in person (preferred) or email<br />

(Genome1@cc.ucsf.edu)<br />

cDNA:<br />

1. cDNA should be provided in strip tubes. We will also accept Eppendrop 1.5 ml tubes if<br />

the samples number is less than 10.<br />

2. Label all tubes of cDNA with initials, date, and unique identifier (numbers 1-n<br />

preferred)<br />

3. Place in plastic bag (available on rack outside Genome Core) labeled with name, date,<br />

and concentration.<br />

4. Drop-off located in Genome Core, room S174. Place cDNA in drop-off box located on<br />

the door of left side -20°C freezer.<br />

Courier Service for off-site users:<br />

1. Courier available free of charge for RNA and cDNA sample drop-off<br />

2. Label package clearly with Genome Core name and address:<br />
