Safety Features Typical lab floor • Recessed safety showers are located between lab & lab support entry for consistency & easy accessibility indicated as red circles on plan. • For lab support with doors, a recessed eyewash is located at back wall indicated by yellow circles on plan, but becomes inaccessible by chairs at bio safety cabinets. Safety Features Typical lab floor • Recessed safety shower heads were installed without an escutcheon. Monthly testing damages the adjacent dry wall, peels & becomes a breeding ground for mold growth. • HDR CUH2A coordinated a site visit by Water Saver & provided a mock-up for the correct installation for EH&S to review.
