FORWORD<br />

This directory of compressed natural gas (<strong>CNG</strong>) refueling stations <strong>and</strong> maintenance<br />

facilities has been sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, Philadelphia<br />

Regional Office to assist <strong>and</strong> support all of the Clean Cities Coalitions, fleet operators, <strong>and</strong><br />

other alternative fuels stakeholders <strong>and</strong> activities in the <strong>Mid</strong>-<strong>Atlantic</strong> Region.<br />

This directory contains <strong>CNG</strong> refueling stations <strong>and</strong> maintenance facilities <strong>for</strong> the<br />

states covered by the Philadelphia Regional Office, including Delaware, the District of<br />

Columbia, Maryl<strong>and</strong>, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, <strong>and</strong> West Virginia, in addition to the<br />

key border states of New York (covered by the Boston Regional Office) <strong>and</strong> Ohio (covered<br />

by the Chicago Regional Office).<br />

There are currently eight designated Clean Cities Coalitions in the <strong>Mid</strong>-<strong>Atlantic</strong><br />

Region: Greater Philadelphia, Delaware, Metropolitan Washington DC, Metropolitan<br />

Baltimore, West Virginia, Pittsburgh Region, Hampton Roads, <strong>and</strong> North Jersey. These local<br />

Coalitions are made up of the major public, private, <strong>and</strong> nonprofit sector stakeholders<br />

advancing the alternative fuels market through various activities, including stakeholder meetings,<br />

fleet manager workshops, funding opportunities, training sessions, technical events,<br />

public outreach, <strong>and</strong> media campaigns.<br />
