Vita<br />

Adam Alexander Libson w<strong>as</strong> born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 9 June<br />

1982, the son <strong>of</strong> Jeffrey Paul Libson and Dr. Christian Alexander Libson. He attended<br />

school at Friends’ Central School and graduated in 2000. While in high school,<br />

he spent the 1998-1999 academic year in Rennes, France <strong>with</strong> School Year Abroad.<br />

He received the Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Arts degree in Physics from Carleton College in 2004,<br />

graduating Magna Cum Laude <strong>with</strong> distinction. He spent the fall semester <strong>of</strong> 2002<br />

in Budapest, Hungary <strong>with</strong> Budapest Semesters in Mathematics. He applied to the<br />

University <strong>of</strong> Tex<strong>as</strong> at Austin for enrollment in the physics program in 2005, and<br />

began his graduate studies that summer.<br />
