This valve is used during vacuum bakeouts to connect the middle-chamber<br />

to the turbo-pump station. <strong>The</strong> middle-chamber and the attached elements<br />

discussed here are shown in Fig. 3.3 in a top-down photograph <strong>of</strong> the vacuum<br />
