July CEO of Gunung Capital Bhd and wholly owned subsidiary GPB Corporation Sdn Bhd, Dato’Syed Abu Hussin bin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal proudly presenting a donation to patrons, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and YB Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Defence Minister of Malaysia, to pay tribute to the members of the Security Forces who have died in the line of duty. The donation is used to assist the less fortunate amongst the Armed Forces veterans and their families, who are in dire need of financial and other assistance to get on with their lives. Fallen comrades have given their lives, injured and lost their limbs and August 2012 sight, in protecting this great nation against the armed communist threat during the Emergency days. It was their role in ensuring the security of the country that the economic and political development of the country could be achieved to what it is today. August YAB Dato Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia, and YAB Dato Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, Chief Minister of Perak, using Bas Rakyat public transportation for a ‘meet the public’ programme in Manjung, Perak. November 2012 September 2012 September Gunung Capital Bhd was one of the main sponsors, for the World Conference on Islamic Thoughts & Civilization 2012 (WCIT2012). This event was a platform to discuss the ultimate approach in providing a holistic development plan in line with Islamic thoughts and principles. The event which was indexed by Thomson Reuters, Scopus, Ulrichs, Crossref and Copernicus, highlighted Malaysian Academics and their papers on the international stage. Gunung’s support for such educational efforts will continue years ahead, as we believe that educational excellence is among the essential aspects to achieve high-income status by 2020. November YAB Dato Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia, YB Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Defence Minister of Malaysia, and Tuan Syed Abu Talib, Managing Director of Bas Rakyat Sdn Bhd, traveling on the Bas Rakyat public transportation for a ‘meet the public’ programme in Perak.
