The M-Class drive system and suspension meet the exacting demands of on-road and off-road motoring. They combine

The technical highlights in the M-Class are:
• New engine line-up with superior power delivery with
low fuel consumption and emissions figures, all diesel
engines with BlueTEC technology, petrol engines with
state-of-the-art direct injection in the shape of
BlueDIRECT
• Enhanced 7G-TRONIC PLUS with significant contribution
to the lower fuel consumption, sportier response
and easier shifting
• Standard-fit steel suspension with improved damping
system thanks to SDC (Sensitive Damping Control)
shock absorbers for extra comfort and driving dynamics
• Permanent 4MATIC all-wheel drive system with offroad
drive program for all engines
• AIRMATIC package (optional extra), Adaptive Damping
System (ADS) with air suspension and load detection
• ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM (optional extra only in conjunction
with the AIRMATIC package, not available for
ML 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC) with active roll stabilisation
function enhances ride comfort, agility and safety at
high speeds, when cornering and off road (in conjunction
with the optional ON&OFFROAD package)
