Notes The Select Patient window contains the following features and components.
View Determines the information that displays for each
patient.
You can choose from Demographics,
Admissions, Referral, Primary Payer, Identifiers,
and Default groupings:
Demographics: Displays Gender, Address,
Home/Work Phone numbers, Birth Date, and
Social Security number.
Admissions: Displays Department, Inpatient
status, Attending MD, Admit/Discharge dates,
and Diagnosis Category.
Referral: Referring MD, Practice, Address, and
Phone number.
Primary Payer: Financial Class, Address, Phone
number, and required Copay Amount.
Identifiers: Displays all the patients’ ID
numbers (IDA through IDF, and Social Security).
The IDA through IDF field labels are
configurable through System Utilities.
Default: Displays only the patients’ names, IDA
and IDB, birth date and chart statuses (clinical
and administrative).
Find Used to enter the name (or other criteria) of a
patient for which to search. This field is helpful
when looking for a patient when the list of
registered patients is lengthy. Begin typing the
patient name (last, first); when sufficient
characters are entered for the system to recognize
a match, the highlight bar moves to that patient.
Last, First Name Displays the patient name. Names display as they
are entered during new patient registration.
MedRc Displays the patient's medical record number
(primary ID). IDs appear as entered during new
patient registration or as generated by the
software (if your system has been configured to
auto-generate IDs). Your site administrator
configures ID labels in Department Setup.
