FOR SPECIAL LOVE LETTER DINNER<br />

Valentine’s Day at NoMI Kitchen: Signed, Sealed and Delivered<br />

CHICAGO (January 2013) – Let romance and food collide. In honor of the romantic holiday, NoMI<br />

Kitchen is once again partnering <strong>with</strong> local, high-end <strong>stationery</strong> line, Suitor, to create new limitededition<br />

‘Suitor <strong>for</strong> NoMI’ cards that will debut during your Valentine’s Day dinner at NoMI<br />

Kitchen on February 14.<br />

‘Suitor <strong>for</strong> NoMI’ includes two elegantly witty cards <strong>with</strong> sayings: You’re One in a Boullion and<br />

You’re the Uni One For Me. Guests’ booking a reservation at NoMI Kitchen will receive an email<br />

following their booking <strong>with</strong> instructions on how to customize their card and write a <strong>special</strong> note to<br />

their valentine. At the conclusion of dinner, a handwritten version of the message will be delivered<br />

to the table <strong>with</strong> a <strong>special</strong>ly prepared dessert by Pastry Chef Meg Galus. With <strong>love</strong> notes circulating<br />

the dining room and views of an illuminating Water Tower Square and The Magnificent Mile, the<br />

ambience at NoMI Kitchen will surely receive your significant other’s stamp of approval.<br />

Executive Chef Ryan LaRoche has designed an exquisite four-course fixed menu <strong>for</strong> an un<strong>for</strong>gettable<br />

Valentine’s Day meal. The lavish dinner will begin <strong>with</strong> a choice of Temari Sushi (Spicy Tuna,<br />

Prawn, Crab), Foie Gras Terrine <strong>with</strong> port wine pear jam, brioche, and Malabar pepper,<br />

or Chickpea Pansies drizzled <strong>with</strong> truffle aioli. Continue onto the second course <strong>with</strong><br />

either Butternut Squash Soup cooked <strong>with</strong> cinnamon, truffle cream, and fried sage or Mushroom<br />

Bouillon topped <strong>with</strong> charred scallion, sweetbread, or black trumpet mushroom. For the entrée,<br />

choose from Prime Beef Filet paired <strong>with</strong> pomme puree and red onion jam, Pan Seared Scallops<br />

prepared <strong>with</strong> Bar Harbor Mussels and Potato Risotto, or Mushroom & Homemade Ricotta<br />

Agnolotti fixed <strong>with</strong> Marsalla cream and rosemary. Guests can also supplement their meal <strong>with</strong><br />

delights including Butter Poached Lobster and Pan Seared Foie Gras.<br />

To conclude, Pastry Chef Meg Galus plans on following the Valentine’s Day tradition of chocolate<br />

and sweets by creating two decadent desserts. Choose between Lychee Bavarian topped <strong>with</strong><br />

raspberry-rose sorbet, shortbread and red fruits jelly or Chocolate Bombe paired <strong>with</strong> Valrhona<br />

Nyangbo mousse, passion fruit and spiced sponge, or order one of each and share <strong>with</strong> your<br />

sweetheart.


Priced at 125 USD per person, each guest will celebrate an elegant evening in luxury, receive a<br />

personalized note on ‘Suitor <strong>for</strong> NoMI’ <strong>stationery</strong> and take home house made cookies, candies, and<br />

chocolates to satisfy that late-night sweet tooth.<br />
