FOR SPECIAL LOVE LETTER DINNER
Valentine’s Day at NoMI Kitchen: Signed, Sealed and Delivered
CHICAGO (January 2013) – Let romance and food collide. In honor of the romantic holiday, NoMI
Kitchen is once again partnering with local, high-end stationery line, Suitor, to create new limitededition
‘Suitor for NoMI’ cards that will debut during your Valentine’s Day dinner at NoMI
Kitchen on February 14.
‘Suitor for NoMI’ includes two elegantly witty cards with sayings: You’re One in a Boullion and
You’re the Uni One For Me. Guests’ booking a reservation at NoMI Kitchen will receive an email
following their booking with instructions on how to customize their card and write a special note to
their valentine. At the conclusion of dinner, a handwritten version of the message will be delivered
to the table with a specially prepared dessert by Pastry Chef Meg Galus. With love notes circulating
the dining room and views of an illuminating Water Tower Square and The Magnificent Mile, the
ambience at NoMI Kitchen will surely receive your significant other’s stamp of approval.
Executive Chef Ryan LaRoche has designed an exquisite four-course fixed menu for an unforgettable
Valentine’s Day meal. The lavish dinner will begin with a choice of Temari Sushi (Spicy Tuna,
Prawn, Crab), Foie Gras Terrine with port wine pear jam, brioche, and Malabar pepper,
or Chickpea Pansies drizzled with truffle aioli. Continue onto the second course with
either Butternut Squash Soup cooked with cinnamon, truffle cream, and fried sage or Mushroom
Bouillon topped with charred scallion, sweetbread, or black trumpet mushroom. For the entrée,
choose from Prime Beef Filet paired with pomme puree and red onion jam, Pan Seared Scallops
prepared with Bar Harbor Mussels and Potato Risotto, or Mushroom & Homemade Ricotta
Agnolotti fixed with Marsalla cream and rosemary. Guests can also supplement their meal with
delights including Butter Poached Lobster and Pan Seared Foie Gras.
To conclude, Pastry Chef Meg Galus plans on following the Valentine’s Day tradition of chocolate
and sweets by creating two decadent desserts. Choose between Lychee Bavarian topped with
raspberry-rose sorbet, shortbread and red fruits jelly or Chocolate Bombe paired with Valrhona
Nyangbo mousse, passion fruit and spiced sponge, or order one of each and share with your
sweetheart.

Priced at 125 USD per person, each guest will celebrate an elegant evening in luxury, receive a
personalized note on ‘Suitor for NoMI’ stationery and take home house made cookies, candies, and
chocolates to satisfy that late-night sweet tooth.
