"We must keep recycling<br />
programs healthy, and we<br />
must help them ejpand and<br />
grow," MUA Solid Waste<br />
Manager Ted O'NeiB told<br />
MUA Commissioner* last<br />
week.<br />
A pit on the market has<br />
caused some recycling<br />
companies to cut <strong>of</strong>f the<br />
collection <strong>of</strong> newspapers.<br />
<strong>Ocean</strong> <strong>City</strong> last week announced<br />
that newspapers<br />
dwuld be put out with regular<br />
trash because the city would<br />
no longer be "able to sell it<br />

municipalities are bead with<br />
cutting back their recycling<br />
programs or stockpiling<br />
newspapers until they can<br />
unload them again.<br />
The current problems<br />
haven't affected the recycling<br />
c# glass, aluminum or scrap<br />
metal, according to <strong>of</strong>flcials.<br />

and recycling coordtnaton<br />
nave been invited to<br />
attend and participate In the<br />
roundtable, O'Neill said.<br />
Currently, 13 <strong>of</strong> the 16 county<br />
municipalities have recycling<br />
programs.<br />

to provide the opportunity to<br />

relating to recycling and solid<br />
