Wants ads now available to retirees 

Retirees may now submit classified ads, called “i.want ads,” via the following link: 

http://www.llnl.gov/pao/employee/wantAds.html, which also will also eventually be posted on the LLNL Retiree 

Organization Website: http://www.llnlretirees.org/home.html. 

The link will bring up a form for submitting want ads by email. Please read the instructions carefully; 

verify that the proper ad category has been checked; and make sure that the information provided is complete 

and accurate before submitting your ad. 

Note that for security reasons direct access to the ads listed in the online database is not available from outside 

the Laboratory. 

The i.want ads will be posted each Friday on Newsline’s external Website: 

http://www.llnl.gov/llnl/06news/employee. An edited version of the ads will also be published in Newsline every 

other week. With Newsline on a biweekly publication schedule, there simply isn’t enough space to print the ads 

in full. 

Ads will be published on a one week cycle ending the close of business (COB) Tuesday. For example, if 

you want your ad published Friday, Jan. 26, you must submit it between Wednesday, Jan. 17 and COB Tuesday, 

Jan. 23. 

The want ads are for the exclusive use of Laboratory retirees, employees and contractors, and are not 

available to the public or local businesses. Restrictions in force under the previous classified ad system continue 

to apply to i.want ads. Newsline cannot accept ads for houses, apartments or condominiums for rent or sale 

(only rooms for rent and vacation rentals are accepted). 

Also prohibited are ads for items, such as guns, requiring a license to sell; airline tickets, which may not 

be transferable; raffle promotions; or personal ads. The “services” category has been removed to be consistent
