Determine proper storage and placement of hazardous materials or hazardous wastes, and<br />

prevent placing any incompatible materials in contact with released materials.<br />

Determine proper containers and secondary containment for materials gathered during<br />

incident response.<br />

Determine proper final disposition for the materials involved in the incident and any<br />

waste materials generated during the incident.<br />

Determine appropriate equipment, supplies, and PPE required.<br />

After an emergency, any residue from the release, fire, or other event will be treated, stored, and<br />

disposed of according to all applicable <strong>RCRA</strong> regulations.<br />

Return Equipment to Proper Location and Working Order<br />

The emergency coordinator will ensure that emergency equipment and supplies are returned to a<br />

state of repair and readiness in proper working condition, decontaminated, and resupplied as<br />

necessary to be prepared for the next potential incident.<br />

4 INCIDENT LOG<br />

The emergency coordinator will conduct an investigation or evaluation addressing the following<br />

items:<br />

Root cause of the incident.<br />

Factors contributing to the conditions of the incident.<br />

Modifications necessary to prevent such an incident from occurring again.<br />

Effectiveness of the response activities, improvements, changes.<br />

Changes to this Contingency Plan when necessary to improve the response effort and the<br />

quality of the proposed TSF’s emergency preparedness.<br />

The emergency coordinator will record the date, time, activities, samples collected, and other<br />

details describing the response at the completion of the response activities. The record will<br />

include the internal and external notification dates and times and details requiring follow up to<br />

the response activities.<br />
