THE TWO FAMILIES!!!!!<br />
There are 6 simple<br />
machines divided<br />
into two families<br />
(groups). The first<br />
one is the lever<br />
family containing<br />
the lever, pulley<br />
and wheel-and –<br />
axle. The second<br />
the wedge family<br />
which contains the<br />
wedge, screw and<br />
inclined plane. If<br />
you’re wondering<br />
what’s a simple<br />
machine which<br />
you probably are<br />
it’s a simple tool<br />
that’s used to<br />
make work easier.<br />
<strong>Simple</strong> machines<br />
are all over the<br />
place each big machine<br />
has at least<br />
one or two simple<br />
machines. There<br />
PULLEY POWER!!!!<br />
As you can tell from<br />
the article above pulleys<br />
are part of the<br />
lever family (which<br />
is awesome). Pulleys<br />
help pull stuff up.<br />
You use a pulley for<br />
pulling up and down<br />
the flag. Even cranes<br />
are made of pulleys,<br />
are always simple<br />
machines in complex<br />
machines. I<br />
think I like the<br />
lever family more<br />
because, I like to<br />
mess around with<br />
pulleys are pretty much<br />
every where! Have you<br />
ever gone sailing on a<br />
sailboat? Well the sails<br />
on a sailboat has a pulley.<br />

There are 7 simple machines and<br />
I’ll tell you about all of them one by<br />
one. First is the screw a screw is part<br />
of a light bulb and spiral staircases are<br />
screws. A screw is in the wedge family<br />
because it goes into the wood. Second<br />
is the lever one example is a<br />
wheelbarrow levers are in the lever<br />
family of course. Third is the pulley<br />
one example is a flag pole pulleys are<br />
in the lever family. The fourth is the<br />
inclined plane stairs are an example<br />
of an inclined plane the inclined plane<br />
is part of the wedge family. Only<br />
three to go the gear, wheel and axle<br />
and the wedge!!!! 5th is the gear one<br />
example is a clock the gear is not<br />
in a family that I know of. Next,<br />
the wheel and axle an example of<br />
this simple machine is a door<br />
knob!!! Last but definitely<br />
not least the WEDGE!!!<br />
