ank advancements diamond Associate When rick and Michelle Teague, of Mansfield, Texas, visited Max International the week after Thanksgiving 2007, it was serious business. Rick had exchanged 9 years of college, 2 law degrees and a successful legal practice for a 24-year career in network marketing, and it was the sole source of income for their family of five. Beyond this, network marketing was the only “career” that Michelle had since high school, even though she also spends considerable time home schooling their children and running the “domestic division” of their household. Consequently, joining a particular company was never done casually, as a hobby, or without considerable calculation, discussion and due diligence. Further, for multiple reasons Rick and Michelle were intensely looking for their final company on this trip to Max – aligning with a company they could build “one more time, for the last time” was their absolute highest priority. After two full days of meeting with Steve Scott, Greg Fullerton and Fred Ninow, as well as the entire Max management team, and asking them every hard question they could, Rick and Michelle knew they had found what they were searching for. In fact, they felt so strongly that Max was the company they had been looking for (for the last 24 years), that Michelle was moved to tears several times. At that point, they urgently went to work and 6 short months later achieved Diamond with the help of an incredible team, company and upline. Although naming all the people that have contributed to this achievement is not possible because of space limitations, it has truly been a group effort, and Rick and Michelle look forward to helping hundreds of others on their team climb to the same rank or higher! steve Lee, of Honolulu, HI said that his advancement is a direct reflection of great team work. “I’m grateful for leaders like Steven Kent, Ray Sukhu and many others. I couldn’t have done it without them. We have a great team with lots of dedicated leaders.” Steve said this is a relationship-based business. You find success when you treat people like you want to be treated, with love, understanding and respect. Another key factor, Steve said, is that Max’s products flat out work. “We just need to let people know about it. We have one of the best compensation plans in the business. This will attract top caliber leaders.” Steve said using the tools will build your business. He has personally sponsored over 100 people using mainly the Max videos on his website. “It works!” He said that a proven formula for him has been: Invitations + Follow Up = Income. “Be the best inviters you can be. Spend 90 percent of your time each day inviting people to check out the Max Video on your website. Follow up with lots of three-way calls.” Steve said he abides by the moto: “If it is to be, it is always up to me!” 30
corporate message 31 CorPoraTe Message Bob Kaelin We are so appreciative of the support that the Max advisory Coucil and Local Leaders offered in making the regional Meetings such a success! On June 20 and 21, 2008, Max International held Regional Meetings in 17 different cities throughout Canada and the United States. The purpose was to launch the new diet product, Max WLX, showcase the new Five-Point Business Presentation and announce a Summer Cash Promotion. There will be a drawing at Max’s Imagine Convention for a 10-day trip for two to the Max International Australia Launch. Each Regional Meeting was filled with energy and powerful enthusiasm as Associates who pre-ordered or pre-registered vied to be the first to receive the new product, Max WLX. Max Founders, Greg Fullerton, Fred Ninow and Steve Scott, continued lending their support to the field by attending meetings and sharing their vision for the future of Max. They expressed gratitude for the dedication and commitment of everyone in the Max organization. There was an attitude of fun and friendship as Max accessories were given away to many lucky attendees. Thanks to the hard work and follow-through of Max local leaders in each city, the following attendance was achieved: Toronto: Max Co-Founder Fred Ninow was the Corporate representative and the Advisory Council/Local Leader representatives were Mickey Burns, Chris and Tammy Gingras and Mike Lebrun. There were over 200 Associates and guests present. Ottawa: Fred Ninow again joined Mickey Burns, Chris and Tammy Gingras and Mike Lebrun to welcome 178 Associates and their guests. Edmonton: Mike Larkins, who serves as President of International Operations, was the Corporate representative and he was joined by Local Leader Jim Fitzpatrick in meeting nearly 100 Associates and guests. Kelowna: Mike Larkins and Jim Fitzpatrick welcomed 120 Associates and their guests. Rochester: Max Co-Founder Steve Scott partnered with Chris and Kim Surra to greet a large contingent of Associates and guests in this New York location. Indianapolis: Dave Bagley, Vice President of Product Development and Advisory Council/Local Leaders Alan Sickman, Dave Heller, John Marcum and Cathy Pierce greeted 80 Associates and guests. Houston: As Vice President of Sales, I joined with Advisory Council/Local Leaders Winder Lyons, Stacy Chapman, Rick Matheney, Rick and Michelle Teague as we welcomed 200 Associates and their guests. Lafayette: I had the pleasure of working with Advisory Council leaders Carl Stanitzky and Winder Lyons along with Dr. Mark Freeman and Dr. Tim Kershenstein in greeting 125 Associates and guests.
