TOOLS Making the tools effective with belief in the company Diamond Associate Mickey Burns said that it is a privilege to be part of a company like Max–with a professional image most companies would need fifteen years to build. Everything, including the website, training and leadership on all levels and its one-of-a-kind products, are standard-setting. The same is true of Max’s incredible tools, many of which were introduced at the Max “All-Star Weekend” Convention in October. “When I first started in this business, I was a bit of a tool myself,” Mickey said. “I had no idea what to do, who to say it to, how to do it. Someone told me, ‘Do what you’re told. You’re not allowed to come up with your own ideas until your check is delivered by FedEx.” All of the tools introduced at convention and other resources at our disposal are extremely helpful in making the business duplicatable, Mickey said. But the most important thing is not a product sheet or a tear-off card. It is what is happening between your ears. We all need to be on the same page in these four areas: • Belief in the industry • Belief in the products • Belief in the company • Belief in yourself Sometimes we’re like a golfer who instead of working on your swing, keeps changing the clubs. We need to stop changing the club and work on the swing. People using the exact same tools are going to have extremely varied results because it’s their conviction in the company and the products that sells first. One of the biggest determiners of success is going from hoping to knowing. Often when you start you are hoping it will work, but over time come to truly know it will. Seeing other’s success, learning from the best, following your leaders and being coachable and accountable are all things that help you make that transition. When you know in your soul you will succeed, that is when it happens. Once you have this firm inner conviction, it will show in your being. At that point you can simply let the tools do the talking. “Stick to the tools,” Mickey said. “Nobody talks about glutathione better than Dr. Keller, Dr. Nagasawa, Dave Bagley, Dr. Scott Nagasawa and Scott Momii. Nobody does a better job of talking about how the business works than the Build to Bronze video or an upline leader on a three-way call.
