ank advancements 26 Diamond Associate Dr. Tim Kershenstein, of San Antonio, TX, has a lot in common with Dr. Keller. He develops his own health products and is intent on doing his part to help improve the health and quality of life of people throughout the world. He believes health care should be preventative in nature and that people should give the body the fuel it needs to ward off health problems in the future. His philosophy accounts largely for the success he has had as an Associate. He feels mission driven to share the Max message with people everywhere he goes. He has served on Max International’s Health Professional Advisory Board where he talked to Associates at the regional meetings in November, discussing Max International’s trio of products, MaxGXL, Max Weightloss System and Max N-Fuse and how they work together to promote better health through maintenance and long-term prevention. He is a seasoned businessman who runs a medical practice. With so many responsibilities, he managed to become the top Associate recruiter this month, which was instrumental in his advancement to Diamond. He said the fact that he is able to find enough time in his busy schedule to work the business enough to go Diamond should give other Associates hope that they can do the same. Making it a part of your daily routine and finding opportunities to share it with people, both by sharing information about the life- changing products and the business opportunity, is possible for just about anybody. He was able to help his son Timothy advance to Gold by using the tried-and-true duplication system. To show the importance of duplication, Dr. Kershenstein used the example of the man who finally broke the four-minute mile, Roger Bannister, and said since then others have followed suit and broken his record, setting even higher standards. When we break down the barriers in our lives that stand in the way of achieving great things we find that our potential is limitless. Maybe the barrier standing in our way is finding that first Associate to recruit and then using the same method to recruit the next time and the next. It’s about consistency and doing what works over and over.

MIKE LARKINS President, Max International CRAIG CASE Exec VP Field Development & Strategy At the Max Imagine Convention last September, Mike Larkins told of meeting with Jim Collins, author of Good to Great. Collins shared a quaint expression for staffing a corporate team. As Mike phrased it, “You need to get the right people in the right seats on your bus. They must all share the same chemistry and values.” Max is known for having the right people on its executive bus! As of November 15, 2008, a Max corporate realignment shifted some seats on the bus putting the right people in the right place. First, one seat that did not change, Peter Nordberg continues to serve as Chief Executive Officer for Max International. Mike Larkins, who headed up Max’s international division, is assuming the role of Max International President. “We are repositioning, covering our bases as we prepare for the next stage of taking this company to the highest levels,” Mike said. Craig Case will now serve as Executive Vice President of Field Development and Strategy. Craig will work with the field in identifying and teaching the characteristics of successful Associates. “There are things that successful people do that should be taught to others,” Craig stated. Craig’s tremendous motivational and training gifts will energize Associates wherever he travels. Mike brings a depth of corporate experience and a unique ability to bring people together, optimizing their strengths and talents. Mike has remarked that we now have even stronger management. Max Associates can be sure that a more powerful team is now in place to grow this company in a significant manner. We always had the right team.
