Despite all of his experience and research in nutritional supplements Dave had never found anything as impressive as what he discovered at Max International. The more Dave learned about the Founders and Corporate Management the more impressed he became with the company. He feels the company leaders are strong, principled men with a lot of integrity. The company they founded has inherited those traits. After starting on MaxGXL and Max N-Fuze Dave said he was feeling better than he had in a long time. He had been dealing with joint discomfort and other health issues. A shoulder ailment had rendered his left arm almost useless. He knew he would eventually have to get it treated. He had gotten used to compensating with his right arm and almost forgot about it at times. One day his wife noticed him using his left arm more and when she questioned him about it he realized it had started functioning much better. Dave said he has seen similar results in many of the people he has introduced to Max products. He said it is a great blessing to be able to help people and see their lives transformed. One lady was dealing with a number of health issues but she was on a tight budget. Dave stopped by her house with an Intro Pack. She thanked him but told him she wouldn’t be able to afford to buy the first month of product when the trial ran out. He told her to write out a check and he would cash it when she told him she had the funds to cover it. She felt better after a short time on the product and was eventually able to afford to pay for it. Before starting at Max, Dave had retired after many successful years in business, and while he is looking to make money his first priority is finding any means possible to help people improve their health and help them succeed in the business. He and his wife, Betty, have five children, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren on the way. They couldn’t be more proud of their family. Their daughter, Tammy, was named one of the twelve top U.S. Air Force personnel of the year. She served 13 months in Iraq away from her son, while Dave and his wife watched him. Dave said he and his grandson became best buddies during that time. Marlene Swallowell’s sister-in-law, Lindy Gamble, recruited her as an Associate at Max International soon after the company launched in 2007. Marlene and the Gambles had just gotten back from a trip from Costa Rica. Lindy was making plans to relocate to Costa Rica but was introduced to MaxGXL soon after they returned from their trip and knew Max International was an opportunity she couldn’t pass up. Lindy and her husband, Lynn, had been involved in various network marketing companies over the years, but this was Marlene’s first experience in the industry. She sensed that there was something different about this company from others Lindy had told her about, she didn’t really have any intention of getting involved with the business because she already had a full-time job and network marketing Max International Associate Rising Stars! 14
associate recognition wasn’t really her thing. When Marlene looked at the photos from Costa Rica she realized she had let her weight get out of control. When Max WLX came on the market she ordered it right away. She was very skeptical about what it would do for her, but taking two pills before eating twice a day seemed easy enough, so she started taking it. About six weeks after starting on it she noticed a difference in the way her clothes fit. Within six months she had lost 45 pounds and went from a size 20 to a size 12, which is two sizes below what she wore in high school. Marlene said Max WLX has helped to curb her appetite and she eats smaller portions. She eats on smaller plates to avoid the temptation of putting too much food in front of her and is full by the time it’s empty. Marlene has also become more active. She walks her dogs every day, goes to a workout class twice a week and works out on her treadmill every night. She said she also avoids eating after 8 p.m. Certainly the increased activity helps to keep the pounds off, but she is confident that Max WLX is helping because her belly fat is virtually gone and that is where she stored a lot of her fat. In February, she put before and after photos on her bulletin board at work. She works at as a dental assistant at a psychiatric hospital. She started recruiting people without really trying. Well over 200 people have approached her to ask her what she is doing and a number of those people have signed up as Preferred Customers. She has also started recruiting Associates. “Since I work in a hospital setting there are many people who have seen the before and after photos and ordered it for themselves,” Marlene said. “Like it or not my business has taken off. I may have to retire soon just to keep up with all the calls from people who see the difference Max has made in my life.” Marlene injured her knee in Costa Rica in December of 2007. She was scheduled for surgery but when she went to see her surgeon last month to book a date for the surgery, he was shocked to see how much weight she had lost. He also said the knee had improved to the point that they didn’t need to operate. “My doctor may have lost a patient, but I gained a new life,” Marlene said. Since then she has also started taking MaxGXL and has felt a boost in her energy. Marlene’s son, Brent, had great results with MaxGXL as well and has experienced a turnaround in his health since starting on the product. Ruth and Dr. Herb Wiskind are retired medical professionals who felt compelled to come out of retirement because of Max International.
