Greg Fullerton: Committed to Max!
I keep a little book where I write
down the date of meetings I attend,
where I visited, the number of people
in attendance and the ideas we talked
about. I have a record of every time
I’ve spoken. I remember doing the
first Max International meeting in
Toronto in January 2007. There were
35 people there and we had the most
exciting and fun time.
When I was getting ready to go to
Toronto on the 2008 “Your Business
At Home” tour, I found that I would
be in that city exactly one year to the
day of my first visit. And this time,
there were about 300 people at that
meeting.
I experienced a warm and wonderful feeling at that Toronto meeting that
made me want to figure out exactly why it was there. I thought of the
great depth of leadership at Max and our incredible product, MaxGXL.
Those are great features any company would love to have. But there were
three other things that really jumped out at me.
First, there was a real feeling of camaraderie and belonging. I sensed there
was a real connectedness among our Associates who knew they were part
of something bigger than themselves. They knew that Max has come to
mean they have a world-wide impact. They can live a better life, they can
take better care of themselves and that we all can make a difference.
Founders Message
page 2
Second, there is a definite commitment to that connectedness. We are committed to each
other, committed to Max and the success of our company. People are committed to service,
to sharing their gifts with others. I was so impressed at how people would say, “Finally! I
have found a place where I can stay for the rest of my life!” Now that’s commitment!
And finally, I saw something that was breathtaking to
me when I met with Toronto leaders in three sets of
dinner meetings that started at 6 and ended at 10:30
p.m. As these leaders introduced themselves, there was
no chest pounding—these people had true humility.
Everyone I met knew they had a unique contribution
to make to the success of this company, but no one
believed they were the reason for the success.
When I meet quality people like this, it just uplifts
me. I come away a better person. I have such an
appreciation for people who are passionate about Max
International and passionate about MaxGXL. I just love
being around them!
I feel that energy and excitement just as much as when
it’s with three people in Northern California when we
first started or at Toronto with 300 people. I love to
listen to testimonials. One lady told me she had given
MaxGXL to her dog. That little dog had fleas and mange
and had just been neutered. There was a whole litany
of problems but MaxGXL helped her dog. I asked her,
“What’s your dog’s name? Lucky!?”
In Dallas about a year ago, we were in a room with
25 people, while down the hall another MLM company
was meeting in a room that seated 150. Ken Dunn said
to me, “Someday we’ll have those kinds of numbers.”
And we do! I was recently in Rochester, NY, with 200
people!
I just enjoy being around Max people. I love all the
hugs, all the love. I care about our Associates. I want
you to be happy, to have everything you dream about.
I cheer your every achievement. I love the
energy and the excitement you all give to me!
Ken Dunn Achieves Max Triple
Diamond
The Key to Triple Diamond?
Relationships!
Ken Dunn traveled an incredible 240,000
miles on business last year. And everywhere
he went, he found time to reach out to friends
and acquaintances. In
just the last month, a
woman Ken had been
friends with for the
past three and a half
years, was ready for
the Max Opportunity
and jumped at the
chance to sign on as a
Max Associate.
“It’s all about building
relationships and building friendships,” Ken
reported at a recent Fly-In. And above all,
he says, you have to really care about the
person. They can’t just be a prospect to
you. “That’s the most important thing,” Ken
emphasized.
Ken is grateful for what industry trainer
Michael Clouse taught him.
“Michael says that every prospect must
know three things about you:
1. They know you
2. They trust you
3. They like you
It’s up to you to align these relationships
with the right time to introduce the product
and the opportunity,” Ken said.
relationships.”
“Max Founder Steve
Scott may not
consciously realize
it, but his whole life
has been focused
around relationships,”
Ken observed. “He
is properly aligned
as an entrepreneur
for success in
network marketing
because of his gift for
ecruiting•training
page 4
Ken’s wife saw the incredible fit of Ken’s
personality and network marketing when he
began in the business four and a half years
ago. She wisely remarked, “It took you 15
years to figure out how to do what you
should have been doing your whole life!”
Ken believes that people like to hear a
rags-to-riches story. “I had to go to work
to support myself at the age of 16. I had
to make changes. And no one is different
than me. I am telling that story as much as
possible to as many ears as are open. We
empower through words!” he said.
The people Ken works
with have confidence
in him. Whatever he
says, he will do. And
that includes putting
in 20 hour days.
“I’ve been successful
because I’ve found
really quality people
and I offer support to
them. I am there for
them.”
Ken loves the words of Ghandi. “He said that
you should be the catalyst for the change
you want to see in the world. You should
see the change in yourself.”
Too often we use someone else’s “perfect”
script in a telephone call, Ken relates. “Then
we hang up and think, I should have said
this, and we think of several things we would
have liked to say. Those are the golden
nuggets you should have used!”
Ken wants all Associates to step up to what is
possible for them. “Max International offers
personal development
as well as a powerful
product,” Ken says.
“Sing that song!” he
challenges.

Bill L. Andersen Achieves Max
Triple Diamond
For all the new Associates who
are standing at the starting line
of a career in network marketing,
Master Associate Bill L. Andersen
has some advice to share.
“It all begins in your mind. It’s about dreams
and passion and the
mental commitment
to self,” he stated.
Bill’s commitment
to Max and MaxGXL
has vaulted him to
the rank of Triple
Diamond in addition
to being a Master
Associate.
“You have to drop all the masks, the lies
and perceptions you may have had about
network marketing,” Bill said. “Get to the
truth of self belief and what you can offer to
the Associates you work with.” Bill believes
that most people are trying so hard to be
right that they don’t listen long enough
to connect with those they talk to. They
assume that if they are right, you must be
wrong, and you have to come to their way
of thinking. That leads to manipulation and
overselling, Bill says.
Instead, Bill suggests Associates talk about
how exciting MaxGXL is and the integrity
found in the leadership of Max International.
“It’s not just one man of integrity—it’s an
entire organization committed to integrity
and truth! And I am all about integrity and
truth,” Bill said.
“Someone more influential than myself
once said, ‘the truth will set you free,’ ” Bill
observed. “Part of that truth is that this is
a tough business.
Part of the truth is
that we all make
mistakes and bad
choices from time
to time. Part of that
truth is that you may
want to quit 20 times
in the first month.
“Don’t live in fear! Too many people are
captivated by corporations that pay just
enough money so you won’t quit. Part of
ecruiting•training
page 6
the truth is that we are all awesome human
beings and have a greatness we bring
together.”
“Remember, it all starts in your mind. Do
you value the dream?
Do you value freedom?
At what price do you
value dreams and
freedoms? Enough to
put in the hours? To
talk to people?” Bill
asked.
Success comes after we
pay a price. “I wasn’t
good at baseball at
first,” Bill said. “I didn’t
get awards until long
after the commitment
not to quit—not when
I got hit by a baseball
or when others told me
I wasn’t good enough.
All of us have had a
little baseball moment.
The world tells us
we’re not enough. I
am enough. I know
I am!” he said.
Whenever someone
tries to say you aren’t
good enough, Bill says
to tell them to go sell
their lies to someone else!
“I have a personal goal to talk to five people
every day about Max. I tell them what an
amazing product and company we have and
invite them to look at it. I send product to
them to try. Then I teach others how to do
the same,” Bill explained.
He says to develop
the commitment
to strategy and
teamwork. “How can
you become great?” Bill
asks. “Be consistent,
be committed, honor
yourself and others
and be in action daily.”
Actions, according to
Bill, are sharing the
Max Opportunity and
teaching others how to
do the same.
When Bill Andersen
first heard of Max
International, he was
drawn to the truth
he saw in this new
company. “Great
talent has a significant
responsibility to go
beyond self and
limitations, to reach
higher. Max is doing
that and has challenged
me to become a
better person. Even if
there was no money
exchanged in this business, I’d do it for that
alone,” Bill said. “We are becoming greater
together.”

Max Does Spanish!
It’s a huge market to tap into! The ten million-plus Hispanic households of today will
increase to 13.5 million in just two years. These households will control $670 billion in
personal income six years from now. Mexican-American households will account for $409
billion of this total. 1
It won’t come as a surprise that a recent article on the Hispanic marketplace reported that
“when it comes to selling, 56 percent of Latino adults respond best to advertising when
it is presented in Spanish.” 2
Max International is prepared to help you with this challenge by
translating three brochures into Spanish:
1. “The MaxGXL brochure” (Say No to Accelerated Aging)
2. “5 ways MaxGXL can improve your life!”
3. “7 Ways to Make Money: The Max Plan”
The natural health tradition runs very strongly in Hispanic families. Have you introduced
your Hispanic friends to the great health benefits of MaxGXL? Hola! Now you have the
The Role of Glutathione in
Energy Production
You’ve been told that glutathione increases
energy on a cellular level. How does it do
this? Since glutathione is not the actual
fuel for the “engines” or “energy factories”
of our cells, what part does it play in the
creation of cellular energy?
These are questions we would all like answers
to, but not if they make us feel like we’re
back in Chemistry 101!
Hopefully, what you read
below will provide a nontechnical
explanation for
these questions.
The Tiger in Your Tank Is
Called ATP
It’s obvious that all cells
must produce energy to
survive. We know that the
“gasoline” or “electricity”
that powers our cells is
called ATP (adenosine
triphosphate). If your car
runs out of gas, it can
sit for a while until you
replenish the supply. Not so
with our cellular fuel. Our
cells simply cannot survive
unless they have a continual, sufficient supply
of “cellular gasoline” or ATP. So the process of
creating fuel in each and every cell must go
on constantly.
A single cell may have a couple of hundred
energy factories or cellular power plants called
mitochondria or it may contain thousands of
them. Your hard-working heart cells have been
estimated to have 5,000 mitochondria each 1 !
The complex process of turning nutrients into
ATP in the mitochondria depends on many
oxidation and reduction reactions.
Redox is the shorthand term for the chemical
reaction where atoms are changed by
either losing elections (oxidation) or gaining
electrons (reduction).
The Process
Understanding the exact
process of ATP creation
didn’t happen until 1937.
Hans A. Krebs finally
figured out a metabolic
pathway in the cells that
explained how energy is
created. There were many
scientists who played a
key role in understanding
how this pathway worked,
but because Krebs had the
insight that the pathway
was a cycle, the process
was named for him and
is usually called the Krebs
cycle.
You will also read of it as
the “citric acid cycle” or the tricarboxylic
acid cycle (TCA) or occasionally, the Szent-
Györgyi-Krebs cycle (adding the name of
the scientist who mapped out many of the
molecules and the sequence of reactions of
the Krebs cycle).
We are including a diagram of the eight major
steps in the energy cycle. Since we are not
doing Chemistry 101, describing this process
product information
page 11
could be as simple as saying it’s a metabolic
dance of electrons being transported and
transferred, through complex processes of
reduction and oxidation. Remember that
transferring (or grabbing!) electrons is also
what starts the cycle of free radical damage.
The Role of Glutathione
Oxidation is like a flame, wonderful when
harnessed, dangerous when out of control.
When we are young, the oxidation necessary
for energy production is highly efficient
with only a small amount of oxygen not
utilized. Even this minor oxygen loss (1-3%)
unfortunately results in the production of free
radicals. And this is where glutathione comes
in to neutralize those free radicals.
A one-to-three percent
oxygen loss causing
free-radical production
doesn’t sound too bad,
does it? But say you are
no longer 20 years of age
and correspondingly, your
cellular mitochondria are
not as efficient as they
once were. More and
more free radicals are
generated in the oxidative
energy process and they
are, in turn, damaging
the mitochondria themselves.
The powerful antioxidant, glutathione,
quenches a number of free radicals, including
the highly dangerous hydroxyl radical by
donating an electron. Glutathione itself does
not become a free radical even though it has
given up an electron.
No wonder it is called the Master Antioxidant!
Now that it is quenched, the extremely
harmful hydroxyl radical is halted from its real
dirty work: generating other free radicals like
peroxynitrite and the radicals of oxidized fats
(lipids).
Glutathione has just halted a literal cascade
of free radicals by quenching the hydroxyl
free radical. But you need to know just
what a favor glutathione has done for you in
preventing peroxynitrite production.
Peroxynitrite is truly pernicious!
Martin L. Pall, PhD, professor of Biochemistry
and Basic Medical Science at Washington
State University stated: “Peroxynitrite reacts
with and inactivates several of the enzymes
in mitochondria so that mitochondrial and
energy metabolism dysfunction is one of
the most important
consequences of elevated
peroxynitrite.” 2
Translation: When
the mitochondria have
suffered enough free
radical damage as to
become dysfunctional,
energy production is
impaired. Your cells do not
get the amount of energy
they need to function
properly. Your cells may
function at a level below
the optimum although you probably won’t
feel it.
There is yet one more free-radical mitochondrial
consequence as a result of low glutathione
levels that you “will” be aware of. Richard
Van Konynenburg, PhD, wrote: “The resulting
partial blockades in the Krebs cycles and the
respiratory chains in the red, slow-twitch
skeletal muscle cells decrease their rate of
production of ATP. Since ATP is what powers
muscle contractions, the lack of it produces
product information
page 12
physical fatigue. It becomes chronic because
GSH [glutathione] remains depleted.” 3
You might think of free radicals as a band of
marauders circling an oil tanker, preparing
to hijack the precious commodity that fuels
cars and trains and pretty much the entire
Western world. Glutathione molecules could
be considered a group of highly efficient
bodyguards—handing out electrons and
turning vicious marauders
into mild-mannered
bystanders.
Glutathione Praise
from Dr. Keller
As you understand this
intricate energy creation
process, perhaps you
will appreciate more a
statement by the creator
of MaxGXL, Dr. Robert H.
Keller. Dr. Keller said that
glutathione is “critical to
cell functions such as the
TCA (Kreb) cycle and then
the respiratory chain that
uses 4 molecules of ATP
to generate 32 molecules
of ATP.”
Is it vital for you to
have those glutathione
bodyguards on energy
duty? Van Konynenburg
certainly thinks so as he
wrote, “GSH [glutathione]
plays very important roles in maintaining
mitochondrial function and integrity.” 4
Perhaps it’s enough to remember that
glutathione is there to assure that the
creation of cellular energy is not hampered
by free radical damage. While this is not by
any means the only role glutathione plays
in keeping your body running smoothly, it
is a vitally important role. Now you have
one more reason to appreciate Dr. Keller’s
marvelous, patented product!
I suffered from daily discomfort in what I refer to others as my
“chicken bone,” you know, the shoulder blade. I like to describe
it as the housewife’s discomfort from the continuous day to day
chores of laundry, making beds, dishes, sweeping, vacuuming,
laundry, cooking. It was VERY severe. I used to beg my husband
to rub my shoulder area. Then once he started, I would beg him
to stop because it still hurt.
After a week of taking MaxGXL, I noticed the discomfort was
gone—like it never existed. To top it off, I NEVER get sore any
more after my workouts. Even on the days I work out extra hard I
think to myself, “man, I am going to be hurting so bad tomorrow.”
But much to my surprise.....NOTHING! I love MaxGXL! Not only for what it has done to my
body, but for what I know it is doing to protect my body in the future!
And I got an added benefit: I sleep so great now. I wake up feeling so crisp and energetic.
Thanks, Dr. Keller!!!
MAX GXL helps retired police officer recover from back discomfort
due to injuries suffered during vehicle accident while on-duty.
On July 1, 2002, I was struck by a vehicle which caused me to
receive injuries that later forced me to retire from my job as a
police officer. During this accident, the muscles in my upper back
were torn from my spine leaving me with injuries too severe to
continue on in police work. For more than five years after the
accident I lived with the daily discomfort and stiffness that this
injury left me with, and frankly I had just learned to live with
it. Then a friend introduced me to MAX GXL and my back has
been free from the discomfort ever since that day I took my first
capsules. Too good to be true you say? I’m free of that now,
and with the added benefit of more energy, I feel better than I
have in twenty years. I truly am living to the MAX!
Max International is proud to announce the
Top Associates Recruiters for the past month:
Roger Doucet is no stranger to network marketing. Almost
all of his recruits at Max International have been the result of
referrals from his many contacts over the years. He has joined
over 200 network marketing companies in his 22 years in the
industry, and sold breakthrough health products from over 300
non-MLM companies. Roger said he doesn’t look into working
a network marketing company unless he is first impressed with
the product.
In 1988 he started manning booths at health shows displaying whatever products he was
working with at the time. His network of contacts that he draws on for Max International
has mostly come as a result of these shows.
Roger says he is in the process of weaning himself off all the other companies to focus
exclusively on Max. Max International has everything he has been looking for in a network
marketing company. It is a company unlike any he has seen in terms of the product,
marketing plan, ownership and management. Roger said when he met with the owners and
executive team from Max he couldn’t have been more impressed.
“Some were tearing up when they described their passion for the company and its future.
They were so genuine,” Roger said. “It wasn’t about greed or selfishness. They were
sincerely concerned with helping people. That really impressed me.”
Gene Stanford is in business with his wife, Emily, and brother,
Ryan. Coming from a business and network marketing background
has helped in their success in terms of gaining marketing skills and
learning how to work with people. Gene said it has taught him
how to communicate and get in touch with different personality
styles, instead of taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Gene’s team
has drawn on a wide variety of sources in recruiting people who are
open to what Max has to offer. In addition to looking up friends from
past businesses, who are looking for exciting new opportunities, he
targets people in all walks of life who are open to change. He said in a challenging economy
with soaring gas prices people are looking for ways to supplement their day jobs and Max
provides an excellent opportunity.
Gene’s team also goes off the beaten path to find opportunities that could have major
returns in the future. He’s working with members of a professional sports franchise. Gene
said it could result in anything from helping a few people, to becoming the daily supplement
of the entire franchise, to possibly opening other doors down the road. You can’t tell what is
behind the next bend but by branching out into many areas, the possibilities are limitless.
Gloria Alvino is a healthcare professional who has for years been
searching for effective holistic approaches to healthcare. She has also
been challenged by chronic illness and was therefore very receptive to
the positive effects of MaxGXL. After just a week on the product she
stopped using the cane she’d been using off and on for six months.
Gloria said she has been looking for ways to build bridges between
traditional and alternate modalities of healthcare, and between science
and spirituality. She describes MaxGXL as the missing link in that bridge.
Her success in marketing MaxGXL is a natural extension of her passion for the product
and her faith in the company. “MaxGXL empowers the body by giving it what it needs to
function in its own miraculous way,” she said.
Gloria also very much believes in Max International as a company. She said she has met
with many of the leaders of the company and their intelligent approach to the business,
combined with their integrity, passion and professionalism, really resonate with her as a
person and a professional.
Gloria said Max has put a compensation plan together that rewards the Associate just
starting in the business. It finds ways to give back to the people who work hard regardless
of where they are within the company.
Travis Harris said that being excited about MaxGXL is his biggest
selling tool. He approaches people from every walk of life from friends
and family to someone he meets at the store who may be complaining
about various health issues. Any opening he finds to share the product
he jumps on because he is so sold on it after seeing it transform the lives
of so many people he has introduced it to.
“A lot of people are seizing on what the product can do and jump on
board,” he said.
Travis generally gives people the seven-day IntroPack along with Dr. Keller’s CD. After they
get some exposure to the product and company he will show them the Max edition of “Your
Business at Home” magazine for more information and background. This approach has
worked very well for him.
Travis is very active in sports and has found that MaxGXL has given him added energy
during and reduced recovery time after games. Some of the people he has introduced to
the product have been very healthy, like himself, while others were dealing with serious
health issues. Without fail they have reported incredible results after a short time on the
product, which only fuels his passion and desire to share it with others.
Maria Dees and her husband Vince are working the business
together and she said he is an invaluable part of their success.
It is the first time they have done a network marketing business
together. Maria has done several home-based businesses. She
has been very successful with other businesses but they usually
started out as a means to getting products at a discount. This
time, however, there is equal emphasis on the business, which
results partly from having a product that is so powerful.
The product has also been pivotal to her success in marketing it. She feels the key to her
success has been follow-up and staying focused on helping team members. Like many other
successful recruiters, Maria starts out by giving people a week’s sample of the product. She
says she then follows up within 3 or 4 days. She is there to answer any questions and give
feedback about the product and business. Maria said this method has resulted in close to a 98
percent success rate. Almost everyone she has given IntroPacks to have gone on to become
Preferred Customers or Associates, although she said the majority came on as Associates.
Pamala and Dr. Thomas Wilson are used to being in
the public eye. Dr. Wilson is a respected chiropractor and
Pamala a renowned marketer who was listed as one of the
top 10 influential women in the wine industry.
Many of their Associates and Preferred Customers have come
on board because they can see the glow from the Wilsons
and ask what their secret is. “We love being together. We’re
always happy,” Pamala said. They have brought many people
on board as a result of this.
Dr. Wilson said Max International has a compensation plan that makes it possible for
everyone to succeed, with a product unlike anything on the market. He credited Pamala
with coming up with a very simple and effective method for introducing people to it.
She approaches people and says, “Take the product for a week.” It’s a statement not a
question. Then she either sells them a one-week sample pack or gives it to them if they are
reluctant to buy. If they don’t want to go beyond the week they don’t have to, she said, but
she’s found almost without exception people want to try it. In fact, only one person has said
no since she started using this approach. Those who try it almost always want to continue.
Pamala said she doesn’t pressure people she just lets the product speak for itself.
Another approach Pamala came up with, and which is effective for both of them, is saying,
“This is a big opportunity. Someone will share it with you sooner or later, it might as well
be us.” Many of Dr. Wilson’s colleagues have responded positively to this approach, both
because of his credibility as a doctor and because of the conviction behind his statement,
backed by a powerful belief in the product.
Nancy Balogh heard about MaxGXL when she approached Dave
Tipton, now on her Max International team, about a product from a
different company. When Dave gave her a sample of MaxGXL she
researched it, tried it out and in a short time was sold on it. She saw
almost immediately that, based on the product and the company, it was a
better opportunity than the one she was involved in. Since she had been
with the other company only briefly before coming to MaxGXL, it wasn’t
a tough decision or transition.
Nancy says most of her success marketing MaxGXL results from her own enthusiasm and
passion for it. She said she spent a lot of time researching the product and the company.
The more she learned the more passionate she became about it.
So far all of the people Nancy has recruited have signed up as Associates, but she says she
gears her approach to the needs of each person and is open to signing people as Preferred
Customers or whatever their individual situation seems to dictate. “You need to lead by
example but also be true to yourself and your team and it will become clear which way to
go with each situation,” she said.
Top Associate Recruiters Randy and Jillyn Haymore and Ty Tribble and
Bo Short of Max Impact were featured in last month’s e-newsletter and
have placed among the top recruiters once again!
Max International honors the following Top
Revenue Recruiters:
Patrick Roy and Paul Rix are in a business partnership
called MAXPPL. They have been friends for nearly 10 years and
have been involved with various businesses together during
that time. Paul said when he heard about MaxGXL he was
hesitant at first but when he tried the product, looked into the
opportunity, then met with Ken Dunn, he knew it was a lifechanging
endeavor.
When marketing MaxGXL, Patrick says he tries to target people with an open mind, who
are looking to make a positive change in their lives. He will often approach people with a
background in network marketing, who are already familiar with the industry, but is happy
to talk to anyone who is willing to listen and try it. Patrick said when he can see someone
isn’t open to the message he respectfully walks away. He said he was much the same at
first. He feels if he continues to push with a person who is not prepared to listen it will
only permanently turn them off. He has found that it isn’t at all uncommon for such people
to come back later and seek information from him when they see the positive changes in
his life. Two of the people he’s signed up as Super-Achievers were in that category and had
no interest initially. “It’s an easy product to market,” Patrick said. “It sells itself.” Patrick
encourages anyone just starting out to persevere, because it can be frustrating when you’re
just starting out. If you fight through it and don’t give up you’re bound to succeed, he said.
Like the Dees and Wilsons, Lielane and Jovita Peralta have been successful as a
team marketing MaxGXL. Lielane feels her success grows out of her own excitement for
the product after experiencing many positive results. She was a skeptic when Joni Yundt
first introduced her to MaxGXL, but quickly changed her mind when the discomfort in her
wrists that she had suffered for years was virtually gone after just a few days on MaxGXL.
It also helped her husband, Jovita, who has had variety of health issues over the years and
who, after a short time on the product, went to the doctor, and showed normal cholesterol
levels, something that was a problem before.
She said she brings her “tools” with her everywhere she goes, the magazine and DVD and
Dr. Keller CDs. When an opportunity presents itself she either shares her story, gives them
some of her tools, or both, depending on the circumstance. It has worked well for her.
When people see her passion for Dr. Keller and his amazing product, and tells them her
personal experience, they almost always want to know more. With only one exception all
of the people she has recruited came on board as Associates.
Tom Yundt admits that teamed with his wife, Joni, they are
pretty darn good at marketing MaxGXL, but he gives her most
of the credit. “She’s the marketing guru,” he said.
Joni has a knack for marketing after years of working in
various capacities in the industry over the years. Tom says
that for him, it is a matter of learning to be the inviter, not the
presenter and using the tools, like 3-way calls, “Your Business
At Home” magazine and DVD, and CDs featuring Dr. Keller, the
way they are meant to be used.
Tom has to remind himself and his team that no matter how smart or educated prospects
may be (and he just signed up a PhD on his team) to “dumb it down” and let the product
and company speak for themselves, through the many great tools at their disposal. Tom
said he is working with an amazing team in Hawaii that is out of control with excitement
over sharing MaxGXL.
“We are enjoying sharing the product and are getting extremely positive responses from
friends and family we are introducing it to,” he said.
Tom has worked in engineering for 25 years and is doing well enough with Max International
that he envisions a time in the near future where he could be making a permanent career
change, he said.
Rebbecca and Dr. Marvin Shipman
Wendy Brady said that she and her sponsor, Noelene Walton, use
a sincere approach to marketing MaxGXL, using their own experience
along with information about the company. The primary tools they
use are a home presentation and something they call a “Max Pack”
they put together, which includes literature from the website, Dr.
Keller CDs and DVDs.
“We try to reach each individual with the materials,” Wendy said.
Wendy said the magazine has been invaluable for introducing people
to the product. “My sponsor gave me 50 of these wonderful mags. I have signed up triathletes
and weight lifters using the magazines. Being in Australia we have no other “Max”
accessories to use and these are wonderful.”
When introducing people to Max International Wendy first shares her own experience,
tells them it’s the best business and product around, then invites them to her home for
a meeting and takes it from there, she said. “I would like to thank my sponsor Noelene
Walton and her sponsor Katrina Farnham, they have been wonderful! They always go that
extra step, which is great learning experience for me as my Max empire grows,” she said.
Dr. Steven Davis from Redding, California has worked in a number
of network marketing companies because he finds that breakthrough
health products often are marketed this way. Dr. Davis said Dr. Keller has
developed something he’s been seeking for many years. It is the most
significant breakthrough he’s encountered and his success in marketing
it has grown out this. He shares it with friends, family and patients
because he believes in it completely.
Robert Canner of Greensboro, North Carolina said that to achieve Gold Advancement,
a number of great friends had to make a decision to win. After selecting a list of 100
people to approach, Robert stopped after the first thirty. Sixteen decided to win, he said.
He met with each individually, and they teamed up to reach their financial goals with Max
International. Reaching Gold is significant he said, but it’s just a milestone on the way to
Double Diamond this year. “The main significance is to show our Max team that if I can do
it, we all can do it,” he said.
ank advancements
page 24
Ty Tribble and Bo Short of Max Impact in Federal Way,
Washington said their advancement to Gold Associate
happened as a result of developing a plan, working it
consistently, and getting prospective partners around
the team. Bo said, “We have such a wonderful team
that sharing the opportunity to associate with people of
such value is an honor.” He said if they ask their partners
to ‘give their best and reach their highest’ we must do
so as well. It is crucial in each stage of the building process that we work our business in a
fashion that sets the tempo for the team, he said.
Rick and Elaine Lynas of London, Ontario, said achieving
Gold Associate involved being themselves and being totally
passionate about the vision of Max International as a worldwide
phenomenon. Rick said it will also help spur the team that helped
get them to Gold. “It is now time to help them do the same,”
he said. After working in the industry over 30 years, Rick is
convinced Max International will revolutionize the industry and
will become the largest company in network marketing history.
Thomas and Joni Yundt of Honolulu, Hawaii, said that
becoming Gold Associates was about having faith in the
system and a belief in the product. It’s a matter of taking the
time necessary to succeed and persevering through the hard
times, Tom said. In Hawaii’s tough economy people often have
to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. “Seeing what we’ve
been able to accomplish financially gives others hope for both
financial and personal success and freedom,” he said.
Karen and Kenny Wagner of Herriman, Utah, said that
achieving Gold Associate was a combination of a passion for
MaxGXL, a lot of hard work, patience, mentoring team members
and refusing to give up. Another key element was finding good
people to help with the business. The Wagners feel they are a
good example of how two people who have never worked in
network marketing can succeed with hard work, determination
and a great team.

Steve Kent of Kaneohe, Hawaii said that by utilizing tools, the
system and working diligently with the team, he was able to advance
to Platinum Associate. He gives much of the credit to an amazing
core group. Guidance, knowledge of the industry and mentoring
genius from a mentor and his sponsor, Steve Lee, proved invaluable
towards his success. Steve feels achieving Platinum validates the Max
opportunity. He’s grateful to all those contributing and blessed to work
with Dr. Keller’s amazing nutraceutical, MaxGXL. By rising above a
compromised financial situation, those partnering with him have been
given a first-hand vision of what they, too, can accomplish.
Louis Volpe of Redding, California said that for him achieving Platinum
Associate was about, among other things, leadership. Identifying and
supporting leaders on your own team as well as the corporate executives
and founders. “Your company is only as strong as your leadership,”
Louis said. “If you don’t have great people at the top, your company
won’t succeed.” With strong leadership, an amazing, scientificallybased
product, and a first-rate compensation plan, you can’t go wrong.
Louis said it felt awesome to advance to Platinum and looks forward to
advancing even further. He said it’s also about helping others. “Once
I’ve achieved my goals, it’s all about helping others achieve theirs.”
DiamondAssociate
Jim Fitzpatrick of Kelowna, British Columbia, said the secret to his
success in achieving Diamond Associate is consistently sponsoring
people and finding the right people to sponsor. He said it’s important to
differentiate between the opportunity searcher and the true business
builder. Finding the right people to work with can put you on the
fast track to success. New blood is the life blood of your team, Jim
said. Keeping your team informed and recognizing people’s efforts as
they advance in the company is vital to success. Jim feels achieving
Diamond only increases his credibility and believability in the company.
If it’s done once it can be done again, Jim said. If he can achieve
Diamond, so can the people on his team.

he said, is a direct reflection of his team’s efforts. Without his team he
simply wouldn’t have achieved the level of success he has. By sticking
to the basics, using established tools to present the products and the
opportunity, and teaching his team to do the same, he’s been able to
advance. Reaching this milestone, he feels, demonstrates to his team
the potential that is possible for each of them. Alan now considers it
his responsibility to give back by helping them reach the same level of
success. “With a special product in MaxGXL and a fabulous group of founders and corporate
officers, invaluable creative support from people like Russ Garn, who provide first rate tools
for the field, my job becomes a lot easier,” he said.
Triple Diamond
Associates
Bill L. Andersen of Salt Lake City, Utah, is celebrating his advancement
to Max Triple Diamond. But don’t think he’s taking any time off to do
so. Bill has a personal goal to talk to five people about Max every single
day. He will explain just how amazing MaxGXL and Max International
are and invite the person to take a closer look. He sends them a sample
of the MaxGXL and lets this fabulous product do the talking! He also
tells them that he is truly a product of the product. Bill dared to dream,
to be passionate about MaxGXL and to commit to never give up. “Max
has challenged me to become a better person,” Bill says. He is now
leading the way for others to achieve the same success.
Ken Dunn from Toronto, Canada, says that his business model is a
marathon not a sprint. He’s in it for the long run and even at Triple
Diamond he still does what it takes, including putting in 20-hour-days.
Tell Ken why you think MaxGXL is wonderful and he immediately replies,
“That’s why I’m here. MaxGXL is life-changing. It’s the product that sold
me on this company.” For Ken, building friendships is one of the keys
to success. After all, he says, our business is one of introductions. “We
introduce people to the product and we introduce them to the opportunity.”
“We empower through words,” Ken explained. He wants his team to drop
“someone else’s perfect script” and speak from their heart. “Those are the golden nuggets,”
he says.

Message from Russ Garn
Creative/Marketing Director at Max
We live in a visual world. Everything
we see impacts us, both consciously
and unconsciously.
Companies will spend inordinate amounts of money
to create a “brand” for their corporation, their logo
and their products. If the company does not present
a consistent image, their message will be visually
confusing. The branding must be dynamic, professional
and consistent. That consistency must be there for
everything: marketing materials, advertisements or
web content.
What was the thinking behind the creation of Max International branding? The
guiding vision or philosophy of Max is that this is a science-based company with a truly
credible product. Max International is like a breath of fresh air in the MLM world. There are
passionate dedicated leaders at Max with a unique, rock-solid product that brings results
to those who take it.
The stylized “M” for Max (some call it a ‘swoosh’) represents the three dynamic founders
of Max International, Steve Scott, Greg Fullerton and Fred Ninow. The “M” is powerful,
speaking graphically of strength and stability. The “M” also symbolizes movement—a
company that is going somewhere FAST! This visual representation of movement speaks to
me of knowing the positive direction this company is taking. The founders came together
with a vision in which Max International is the realization. I wanted to capture what the
three founders represent, their vision and a sense of going somewhere.
The tag line, “Look, Feel, Live to the Max” summed up in a few, powerful words the
image of the founders and the overall message of Max International. It says in the most
concise way what the company is about: living life to the Max and fulfilling dreams.
Corporate colors also play a vital role in projecting an image. Red, to me, represents the
body and the vibrant message of Max to “look, feel and live to the Max!” It’s a warm,
inviting color that helps visually to tell the message of what Max is all about. Silver is a
classy, complementary color while black is a color of strength and dominance. Right away,
you receive the message that Max is powerful from our colors alone!

Though I have been around MLM companies, I come with
an outsider’s point of view. I see the big picture and I
can say that I’ve not seen an opportunity of this level
with leaders who have the kind of integrity found in Max
founders and executives AND a compelling product.
Like Greg Fullerton has said, at Max you can fulfill your
dreams, whether to pay off your home, set aside money
for college for your kids, have more time with your
family or be happy in a fun career where you are not
just clocking in and waiting for someone to tell you what
to do! Any of these dreams are worthy and possible with
Max International.
My vision is to create for you the tools that will assist
you in making those dreams come true. From the “5 ways” brochure that will assist you
in recruiting and retaining customers, to the “Your Business At Home” magazine letting
you be the messenger while the magazine teaches the message, to the IntroPack with
its innovative direction in reaching out and creating success. With tools like these, it is
absolutely possible for anyone to succeed in this business! These powerful tools with their
creative look will help you share the Max way and achieve all your dreams.
Max International is on the cutting edge of science and opportunity.
And our wonderful Associates are truly taking it to the Max!
