ZILDJIAN OPENS U.K.
ARTIST FACILITY
On April 1, Zildjian hosted a U.K.
Artist Session to celebrate the official
opening of its new artist facility
at Cato Music in London.
Approximately 130 Zildjian artists
from all over the United Kingdom were
treated to demonstrations of about 100
new Sound Lab Prototypes, cymbals
that are not yet in production.
“It was great to welcome so many
of our artists to the new facility,” said
Tina Clarke, Zildjian’s international
artist relations manager. “This year,
artists were treated to one of the biggest
selections of Sound Lab Prototypes
ever presented. The goal of the artist
session is to bring together artists in a
social setting where they can discuss
new cymbal and drumstick ideas.”
This year, the session also included
Zildjian’s new digital division, Gen16.
Artists got a firsthand look at Zildjian’s
new electronic sound technology.
