Blackstar Amplification recently received<br />

the 2011 Queen’s Award For<br />

Enterprise in the International Trade<br />

category. The awards are the United<br />

Kingdom’s most prestigious honor for<br />

business success and are presented in<br />

three categories.<br />

exhibit at Chicago’s Museum<br />

of Science and Industry<br />

Don Broman<br />

Don Broman, former vice president<br />

of Baldwin Piano, passed away on<br />

May 12 in Kenosha, Wis. He was<br />

96. Broman joined Lyon & Healy in<br />

1937 during the Great Depression,<br />

where he worked with the staff to<br />

keep the company above water. He<br />

stayed 38 years until he became<br />

the vice president of Baldwin Piano<br />

in 1975. Broman remained at Baldwin<br />

until his retirement in 1984.<br />
