Steve, '89, and Lisa
(VanRuiswyk), '90, Knudson
live in La Crosse. Steve
received a Doctor of Jurisprudence
degree with honors from Drake
University Law School. He has been
admitted to practice law in the state
and federal district courts of Wisconsin
and Iowa. Steve joined the law firm of
Fitzpatrick, Smyth, Dunn and Fitzpatrick
Crosse as an associate. Lisa
teaches at St. Thomas More in La Crosse.
Dan Menzel, Hanau, Germany, is
a civilian employee with the Army as a
personnel management specialist.
Joseph Shulka, Minneapolis, is
featured in a new book, "Farm Boys:
Lives of Gay Men in the Rural Midwest,"
edited by Will Fellows. Shulka and
Fellows presented portions of the book
at UW-L in spring 1996. Shulka,
Fellows, and three other men from the
anthology will be featured in a 1997
PBS documentary series "In the Life."

Todd Farrand, Reston, Va., is a
clinical research associate at
Quintiles, BRI, a contract
research organization,
Edward Hanson, Austin, Texas,
is a senior auditor for Medianet, a
Planned Promotions & Co-op
advertising company.
Ronald P. Piojda, Oak Creek,
works at the Oak Creek Police
Department. He is a police sharp
shooter on the S.W.A.T. team, a member
of the motorcycle unit, and a
tactical communications instructor.

Fink live in Buffalo Grove, Ill.
Doug is a computer programmer
for Analysts International Corp.
Angela is the director of sales and marketing
for the Hilton Garden Inn hotel.

Dreux Beaulier, Kenosha,
graduated from Milwaukee
Area Technical College Police
Academy and is a police officer in Mt.
Pleasant township, in Racine County.
Beaulier is also a member of the
Cannon Crew and the National Guard.

Mike, '94, and Amy (Spice),
'95, Biding live in Little
Chute. Mike was named general
manager of the Wisconsin Timber
Rattlers, a successful Class A baseball
team in the Midwest League.
Anthony Sanchez, Olivia, Minn.,
is a registered and certified physician
assistant. He practices in three clinics,
two of which are satellites, and also
follows patients in the Renville County
Hospital where he takes ER calls.
Rebecca Tomchek, Milwaukee,
completed her second year of graduate
school at Concordia University, pursuing
a master's in physical therapy.

Lisa A. Currie, Dunmore, Pa.,
is the assistant director of the
Wellness Center at the
University of Scranton. She is also
beginning an Ally Program for gay,
lesbian, and bisexual students. Currie is
looking forward to seeing fellow classmates
and former colleagues at ACPAI
NASPA in March.
Barry Laabs, Kenosha, has been
promoted to Assistant Manager at the
Gurnee Cinema in Gurnee, Ill.
Gabrielle Penfield, Fort Atkinson,
completed her first year with the Peace
Corps in the West African country of
Ivory Coast. She teaches health education
to African children in the village
French schools. She also visits families
to discuss health education.
Kathy Riek, East Tawas, Mich.,
is a recreation therapist for Au Sable
Valley Community Mental Health.

Roxanne K. Miles, Reedsburg,
assists people with disabilities
to live independently. She is
the coordinator of the supported living
services in the southern region of the
Lutheran Home Association.
