Weaknesses/ threats
The Slum Population has not been
provided with safe water supply and
still depends on unhygienic sources of
water.
To provide minimal level of community
services, the private developers use to
develop small chunks of land of limited
size. And by introducing these small
chunks of land a vast area remains
blank with necessary community
facilities over a time.
It is evident from the above analysis that the housing shortage is not very significant
in the town. But, supply of housing for economically weaker section is an important
concern as it is gives rise to slum population in the town. Lack of urban services is a
major concern in the housing scenario of the town. It is essential to give attention to
housing facilities for all sections of the society to improve livability of the town on the
whole.
